Default Wedding update...

Okay I just need to say it one more time: I'M GETTING MARRIED THIS YEAR!!!

Big news is that I have ordered the bridesmaids dresses Got all the BMs and my mum together in between Christmas and New Year and had a girly shopping day. It was really good fun, but I ended up with something completely different to what I had originally planned! I had this idea that I would have them in funky tea length dresses, maybe all in different ones in the same colour (or all in the same dress in different colours). As it turns out, they all wanted to feel like "proper bridesmaids" meaning full length dresses. And wearing different dresses kind of went out of the window as I could only just about get my head around choosing one!!

And to top it all off, the colour is completely NOT what I had planned!! I've gone for green, the original idea, but much darker than I had wanted. The minty/apple shades just looked really washed out against my dress as it is quite a rich cream. So now I have a rich olive green. I wasn't sure at first, but I'm really glad I went for it.

It has changed the colour scheme totally though. Instead of trying to bring in tones of coffee and dusky pink to the flowers etc, I am sticking with cream and green as the theme throughout. I'm hoping it's going to look very classy and elegant.

I am so buzzing about the wedding now though, I think I am driving Stephen crazy! He is off work this week and is charged with sorting out the honeymoon, first night hotel, and reception entertainment (STILL not booked!). And he thought he was on holiday...

If you go into view colours you can see the colour, it's called sage (but doesn't look like sage to me!!).

Lovely dress Liz. That shade of green is lovely and a bit diffrent to the usual pale greens or bottle greens that you see. It think green and cream will look very elegant.

The dress is beautiful Liz! And I do like the colour too. I think cream will work best with that shade of green. Oooh I can just imagine it now!

I remember when I nearly had a colour scheme change, which happened when I went to get my bridesmaid dresses too.

Good luck with the rest of your planning! x

Lovely dress and the colour will be great, I saw it when I was looking and loved it.

Same happened to me with bridesmaids dresses, I had thought tea length in slightly different styles (been watching too much sex in the city i think at Charlottes first wedding!). But then on the shopping day my bridesmaids moaned about not feeling like proper ones unless they were in full length and the same (after previously insisting when asked that they wouldn't be wearing anything like that!!)

love the colour Liz, its the same as my bridesmaids heheheh
I also wanted to go with the tea length dresses, but I kinda had to change it up a bit cause my mum is my matron of honour and I wanted her to look good so I went for the long dresses in the end.
