Hi Girlies!
Just went to M&S today and the cakes were in the sale....
When I asked why, the manager told me that they were changing the manufacturer and design of the plainly iced cakes and so were getting rid of the old style ones...

If anyone wants to recheck the quality of the cakes before purchasing the biggies, they should be in stores on Monday....

I wanted to buy them as I have tasted the cakes before, but now want to recheck them incase they are crappy....

P.S They only sell sponge cakes in one size (11.5" Me thinks!) Fruit comes in all sizes...........

Note: Apparently the new cakes have nuts/traces of nuts in, but the old ones didn't!

I wonder why they have changed so suddenly as those seemed to be quite popular!

The new cakes are supposed to be of a much better quality. My mum phoned M&S the other day and they told her all about it!

They sounds like they will be totally 'lish!

Can anyone tell me the price of the M&S cakes, as I was thinking of buying one - are they going up in price now they are changing them?

No, I am going to the Oxford Street branch on thursday. The only reason I would order them is so I don't have one that's been sitting in the shop and might have got damaged. If it takes too long I will just get them from the shop as long as the Best Before date is OK.
