Default Who's Changing Clothes For The Evening?

Hiya all. I just wondered if anyone is changing from their wedding dress to something else for the evening?
I want to keep my dress on all day...we aren't going anywhere that night as we are booked into the hotel where the recpetion is. I think it may get to hot though but I want to get the most out of it as I feel like a million dollars in it!

As it's the only time I going to be able to wear it I'm keeping mine on all night! I don't care how hot I get, plus I want my evening guests to be able to see it.

I hope that my child, looking back on today
Will remember a mother who had time to play;
Because children grow up while you're not looking,
There are years ahead for cleaning and cooking.
So, quiet now cobwebs go to sleep.
I'm nursing my baby, and babies don't keep.

I'll also be keeping mine on all day and night too!

We are also staying at the hotel where the reception is, so it's a lot easier!

Hi laurie I feel the same! BUT...we'd better not drink too much...think of all those trips to the loo....have you seen my dress??? LOL
I remember my at my friend's wedding reception...(she had a big ball gown dress) she dragged me off to the toilet with her to help hold the dress! It would be that her stuck up MIL decided to walk in at that point...we could hardly stop ourselves from laughing and just collapsed when she left! Oh happy days!

Now, for the money I paid (not an extortionate amount but a lot for a dress to wear for one day - It is NOT coming off until the last minute definitely

As for going to the loo, the way I see it is, I paid enough money for my bridesmaids - it's the least they can do to accompany me to the bog.

Just hope I don't get a tummy upset from all the excitement.

what a horrible thought!!

Same here - the dress is staying on! Not at that price....I'll go shopping in it if needs be! OK, slight exaggeration...

The only way that dress is coming off is if it's taken off!

If I can find something suitable to change into then it is coming off! I hate skirts and dresses and I just want something comfy to change into in the evening to enjoy myself. The challenge though is to find something!

This is something I have been wondering about. We have a gap between the wedding reception meal, and the evening party. The party is taking place in a bar, which we have hired out. I really want to wear my wedding dress all day, but am worried about feeling out of place in it.
Will probably use this as an excuse to buy a load more new clothes "just in case" and make a decision on the day depending on how I feel about it

I'm not getting married until 4pm, so there's NO WAY I'm only wearing my dress for a little while, once it goes on in the afternoon it's not coming off again until "My Husband" takes it off for me, if he's sober enough that is!

H

PS Some one posted a while ago that is was tradition for you to be put into it by your mother and it's not to be taken off until your husband takes it off for you!!

mine is definitely keeping on all day and night! its the only day i get to wear such a dress so im not taking it off till i have to!! i certain wouldnt fell odd amongst my evening guests, as centre of attention is what you are on your wedding and in a stunning dress amongst them thats what you are!

How could you possibly feel out of place in your wedding dress??

Thanks Shelly :-) I think it is because I am not used to being the centre of attention.

I am still swaying between keeping it on and changing out of it. I still don't know, not 100% sure. I may go and buy an outfit for the evening and if I want to change, I can
