Hi every1.
Ive been engaged for 9 months now and started thinking about the wedding! Been searching the internet for The dress, found a few i like. There are a few dresses i like on a web site from china, but im a little wary if to order from there. What do people think??
Also, were thinking of getting married abroad, but not sure where to go yet.

I would be wary of ordering from abroad but only because you cant try it on first and will be tricky for alterations maybe.
Otherwise

If the dress is cheap enough, and you know an good dressmaker who can alter it, then consider it.
If you are prepared to consider pre loved, then have a good look on ebay, and some wedding dress sites.
Have you any ideas where you'd like to get married? A neighbour of mine got married in Cos this year - and the wedding package was only an extra £200 or so on top of the holiday?

Hello and to groovy!
I ordered my dress from America but it was a prom dress not a wedding dress. It was a bit risky but luckily i loved it and did the slight alteration myself.
Saved me a LOT of money!
Have you decided when the big day will be?

Yer i will have a look around before i make a final decision.
My partner wants to get married in the caribbean. It would be lovely with the white sands and lovely blue sea! Mauritius, Antigua and Dom Republic look really nice. But i think i'd be happy anywhere really. I know a few people who have been Cyprus and got married there and said it was nice. I will just have to keep looking around.
I dont want it to be too expensive!

hello and
We got married in Mautitius. Was fantastic. If you find the right travel company you shouldnt have any problems with arranging it all.
Look forward to hearing all your plans

Hiya
I'm new too, just signed up today (I've said hi in the meet the groovers section). I wish you luck in your search and I guess ordering from abroad would be okay if you're a fairly standard off the shelf kind of size (if you know what I mean!) and if its cheap enough to get changes made over here if necessary.
