I am going to my bloke's best mates (but he isnt best man) wedding at the end of March and have bought a black cardigan to wear - ideally i think it would look best with black trousers and a nice camisole top with chunky accessories in bright colours - do you guys think thsi would be acceptable ?
My mate went to a wedding where the bride CRIED because her friend wore a black outfit - It REALLY wouldnt bother me what people wore (not ivory/white tho!) but Im not sure whether thats just cos im relatively laid back and will do anything for an easy life!
I dont want to stand out like a sore thumb at this wedding as am a bit self conscious and dont want to upset mums n grans never mind the bride etc - hope this all makes sesne - let me know - cheers!
Personally I think it's fine, especially as you plan to wear a different colour cami & accesories.
Loadsa people came to my wedding in black, including the BMs

Some days it just isnt worth chewing through the leather straps in the morning!
I would double check too. I went to a wedding last year and planned to wear a black top and dark skirt. I checked 2 days before flying out (It was in Hungary) to find that Black is a complete no way and had a mad last minute panic to get something to wear!
My brothers girlfriend wore black to my wedding, and it didn't bother me in the least, but i know some people do get upset.
Mind you at least your not the mother of the groom or anything, my Mum went to a wedding once where that did happen! Apparently when asked why she was wearing black she explained it was "the saddest day of her life, seeing her son married to that awful girl" what a cow!

The mention of my child's name may bring tears to my eyes,
But it never fails to bring music to my ears.
If you are really my friend,
let me hear the music of her name!
It soothes my broken heart and sings to my soul!
I wore a black trouser suit to one of my friends' wedding with a cream top and beige/cream hat and no one seemed at all bothered. It would be different if you wore top to toe black I think.
