I would recommend an American site - www.rebeccarode.com

I live in the UK and ordered my Mori Lee dress from here. It arrived a couple of weeks ago and I'm really impressed!

I saved myself loads of money off the retail price, and it arrived with all the official tags in tact. I also didn't end up paying any import tax which was even better!

Good Luck with finding your dress - I would definitely recommend you look at the site if only to see how much money you could save!!

I would also like to recommend rebeccarode.com. I got my dress from there about 6 months ago, saved a fortune ( it was far less than a half of the UK price) and got it at least 3 months quicker than a shop here had quoted!

I tried the dress on in a local shop, then ordered it on line. I really can't praise them highly enough. They have a wide range of dresses, and if you cant see what you want on line it may well be worth contacting them to see if they can get it.

Also http://www3.bridesave.com/search/ind...arch&dept_id=2

has a useful search engine to find what is available in the type of style you like, I have no idea what their service is like though. But nice for browsing and whiling away those weddingy moments.

Question

I went wedding dress shopping last week and tried quite a few dresses on. One of the dresses which i really liked was called Chiara and it was in a local shop called Brides of Leigh. Not sure of the designer. I have tried to find this dress online but to no avail............Has anyone heard of it or know how i might find it?

WHen i was dress shopping i found that a few shops give dresses their own name in order to stop you finding it elsewhere! Not sure if this is what they have done, I found myself being a bit sneaky and looking for clues of the designer or manufacturer on hanging loops and things like that!

I bought my dress direct from a Bridal Store, but www.bridesave.com is a popular site I think.

I have had a look on the bridesave site but cant find it on there.........Had a look at that dress you found Louise and it isnt that, I think like you said the shop may have given the dress their own name and that is why i cant find it......will have to go back in the shop and have a sneaky look at the labels and find some clues!!!............will have to be as sneaky as the shop i think........ha ha

Is it this brides of leigh?

http://www.bridesofleigh.co.uk/bridal_gowns.php

If so the list of manufacturers might be a starting point, most of them must have their own websites!

Well i took a sneaky look into the bridal shop today and found the dress i like is by the designer Phil Collins (no relation to the singer) and the dress code is 4319. Anyway after finding this out i have looked on the internet and still not been able to find the dress, it isnt even on the Phil Collins web site.

Thanks Karen for them.........I had looked on the actual site and now looking at the two other links you posted it doesnt seem like the dress is there either. Im presuming the dress must be from an older collection and not the most recent one.............eventhough it is weird how the dress doesnt seem to be coming up anywhere???
