Default Changing Zip to Lace Up? any ideas pls

Ok so this is my question and i'm hopeing someone here might have an idea if it can be done or not and how easily ect it would be.
As most know by now we are hopeing to have our outfits in a medieval style and first thought was to have them all made. Well trying to work out costs ect and web searching and always keeping an eye out for a bargain on Ebay I have come across a few dresses that have made my eyes twinkle and my heart flutter. My main problem with bying of the peg has always been my chest I am all boobs always get this even with normal clothes dont wear shirts as I get them big to fit my chest then they hang off me like a sack everywhere else and look really ill fitting. To give an idea im a size 14 with a 36GG chest.
Right to the question if I bought a dress of Ebay with a Zip in it as most of them do how easy would it be to convert it to a corset syle lace up back ?
There are 2 reasons of thought behind me wanting to do this one I will feel more comfortable wearing it and with the look of it but also when I was married first time round although I had 2 extra panels put into the bodice of the dress to accomadate my chest the zip broke as i was getting dressed the morning of the wedding and had to be sewn into my dress which took 1 and half hours to do lol so as you can imagine I soooooooooooo wish to avoid that again lol.
Ok shutting up now and no longer waffling lol

I wiouldn't have thought that it would be too difficult to put a lace up back in a zip up dress, My guess would be that making the loops on 2 stiff pieces of materieal and then sewing the onto the back of the dress would be easiest, I would probably have a practice on a old dress first.

Have you looked at bridesave or rebeccarode.com for dresses? I found that they were sometimes even cheaper than ebay, and they have some beautiful dresses. I got mine from rebeccarode and although i had to pay some import tax it was still only about 1/3rd of the UK cost. bridesave has a search feature where you can put in poet sleeves and it comes up with the medieval style gowns.

How long till your wedding? Ive bought my dress from this site.
http://www.dressbuilder.com/
They are in America but ship internationally. The clothes are made to measure and are very nice and extremely reasonable, especially with the exchange rate at he moment!

Have a look here as well http://www.thedarkangel.co.uk/ I got my bridesmaids dresses from here, The Christina dress for the grownups and the Lily dress for the little one. They are outstanding quality and super fast delivery. They also do a made to measure service.
Yes I did have to pay import duty but not too much and the prices on Dressbuilder are incredibly reasonable. Lovely quality of material and they are very friendly as well.
