Default favours are the bain of my life!!!!! :)

hi guys

well i am looking for advice, opinions, inspiration on favours.......

so far for each guest we have a small champagne bottle of bubbles and a chocolate trivia question from c onfetti (?!)

we also have two wooden roses for each woman but the green on the stalk keeps peeling which is annoying so not sure if going to be using them (fingers crossed!!!)

Then for the men we were going to get whisky miniatures

for the women maybe a bag of sweets/chocolate (what do you think of a packet of chocolate buttons - hoonesty PLEASE - is this as good as a wrapped bag of typical favour chocolates........?!

also i have seen seed sticks - they look nice?!

and also LOVE idea of terracotta pot with seeds for something - what do you think?

i dont have an endless supply of money but want people to be impressed (not by how much ive spent but my the uniqueness!

hope this all makes sense - sorry for the typo's - any ideas ??? Was thinking of putting everyone's pressies in individual gift bags (silver n purple) if can get them cheap enough

p.s im not actually as neurotic as i sound in this post!!!!!!!!

Well I love chocolate buttons so I'd say they're brilliant lol. Regarding the roses can you maybe get some green spray paint and spray the stems? You have lots of nice ideas there it sounds like your guests are going to have a right goody bag to take away with them. Have you looked on Ebay for bags?

Have you read the suggestions in the crafty brides? There's quite a few. Otherwise search "favours" in google...then you'll hopefully be spolit for choice!

coming out of left field...

how about Rock.
As in Blackpool Rock. Made to your wedding colours, your flavour and with your names running all the way through each bar.

couple of places to look at:

I like the sound of rolos - have you thought of just putting one in one of those bonboniere nets and tying it with ribbon - a token gift but romantic thoughts behind it...

I think that you have so many things for them that this would just look simple and quite sweet.

I am giving each guest a had carved wooden love spoon (Nicks Aunty is carving them so they are free), and a gold pillow box with 5 foil wrapped hearts in them. The name holders are going to be made of wire which hang off the wine glasses with beads on and a fimo rose at the end and a piece of card hanging off with the name written on (my sister is making these so again they are cheap).

Favours have been the bane of my life too, but now I have finally agreed on something I feel so much more relaxed. I had loads of ideas just like you and couldn't make my mind up - my Mum gave me some really good advice and said 'less is more' - you don't want the tables to look to over crowded/fussy. So I have taken her advice and am now very relieved I have it sorted!!

Let us know what you decide on. I must admit, I do like the idea of chocolate

Default Favours

I never knew choosing what to give guests could be so hard,

We have finally decided on perfume samples (from Avon 10p each bargain) with 3 burgundy chocolate hearts for Ladies in Ivory boxes embossed with roses and ivory chiffon ribbon and bow on the lid.

Men have the grey tuxedo boxes filled with a football keyring and 3 chocolate footballs each.

That way they all get gift and chocolate.

As we only have couple of children coming ordering them gift boxesfrom www.eventsmiles.co.uk

Is anyone doing favours for evening guests as well????
