Hi I have juust returned from Paphos, last week.
I was there for three weeks. I got married at Peyia, and we had our reception at our hotel, THE ALEXANDER THE GREAT BEACH HOTEL.
The wedding was ouside in the gardens at Peyia.Town Hall.
Beautiful location, up high in the hills.
We had Champagne and canapes on the terrace, before we had the main wedding meal.
The wedding was a sitdown BBQ buffet, outside over looking the sea, beach was 20 seconds away, again a perfect location.
We had a DJ playing great music for us, again outside.
Guest were dancing on the balcony it was a great atmosphere.
I would have had it any other way.
It was also my dads birthday, and the hotel made him a cake.
As for Paphos, I enjoyed it, the weather was lovely, not too hot for a wedding, late 70's -early 80's.
We had problems hiring a car, as my daughter gets travel sick we only wanted it for a day to see how she went. But we did find afew places who would do it for two days.
The worst food I had was at The Posedonas Tarverna, out of six of us eating five complained and left our food, and we all had different dishes.

My dad had the fish which he said was ok.
Bar street was starting to get busy, we noticed a big difference in our last week.
And or course we visited the tree to tie a hankie on and make a wish, the tree has hundreds of hankies on from previous bride and groom, and others wanted to make a wish. There is a church down from it under ground, very old and spooky.
Candles burning all day and night.
I had the best time ever, great wedding, and lovely people.
Our hotel coulodn't do enough for us.
Karen
