I am putting together the songs for before and during the ceremony and the thought occurred to me to do a few 'backups' to give to the guests as a thank you.
It would kind of be the soundtrack to our wedding and could put it in a proper CD case with a cover and insert etc. We'd then send it with the thank you notes after the event.
Al likes the idea too but is concerned that it may be a bit corny.
What do you reckon??

I hope that my child, looking back on today
Will remember a mother who had time to play;
Because children grow up while you're not looking,
There are years ahead for cleaning and cooking.
So, quiet now cobwebs go to sleep.
I'm nursing my baby, and babies don't keep.
A bit corny........ BUT.... we made a few copies of the CD of the songs played as I walked in, whilst we signed the register and when we walked out, and a few people wanted copies so not such a bad idea to have a few on hand if people wanted them!!

i cant vote i dont think its corny as such but i dont think yes go for it either i think the songs are more for you and your hubbys memories though and the importance of it seems to remain there not really with your guest unless you make copies to your mums and dads, or if your having a vid get copies of them for them i just think it is the bride and groom more than anyone that would sit listen and remember the importance of the songs do youget what i mean but its a nice thought too x

now i am relpying myself here as i am a bit dissapointed with myself that i wrote the veiws on this as above, it has actually even been palying on my mind when in bed last night so i want to correct it.
Yes this was my frirst thought on the subject because i thought more work for you and more time taken up and more moeny but i was wrong about saying it was a nice idea but i wouldnt because the memories of the music were you and your close ones only that is not so i think if you wan to do this then you should it is your day and i think what ever the bride and groom think up they should apply as it is their day thier thoughts and rather sweet of you, i want to say i am so sorry for a negetive view here and i take it all back, you should do it it is lovely and special please forgive my first view xxxx
Awww, there's nowt to forgive hon. The joys of Groovy is that people are honest and give their true opinion. There's no need to be fluffy and wrap comments up in cotton wool.

I think that its a nice idea too. Especially cos you are haveing a Valentines day wedding.
Lets face it - if you cant be corny on your wedding day then when can you???
If its what you want do then go for it!
The only thing that might stop me from doing it would be that not everyone has the same taste in music and might not appreciate them as much as you do. And they are obviously all very special songs to you.
