I thought it was just the mums and attendants but it's entirely up to you, it's your day after all.

I hope that my child, looking back on today
Will remember a mother who had time to play;
Because children grow up while you're not looking,
There are years ahead for cleaning and cooking.
So, quiet now cobwebs go to sleep.
I'm nursing my baby, and babies don't keep.

He is a really difficult man to buy for. I was thinking a good bottle of whiskey but he has lots of bottles and never opens them even though he drinks it!!

Sadly, my FIL died before our wedding so it wasn't an issue for us BUT we did buy my dad something. We went for dvds that we thought he'd like rather than anything that's traditionally used as a thank you at a wedding as I couldn't think of anything of that sort that he'd like

I think a nice idea would be a day out or a meal the 6 of you - bride, groom and both inlaws. They worry more than we do about the wedding sometimes, itīs a big day for them but we stop talking about their things we are so wrapped up in our wedding chats.

I want a nice day with all of them, concentrating on them - I know that spending time away from distractions, work, mobiles, grandkids....would do our relationship the world of good and show them how grateful we are and how much we love em.
