Default help how do i....

put a photo on the site someone has done this before for me but it would nice not to bother anyone and to actually learn myself now i have been to the help section on this and followed the steps and i can now det the photo and reach the upload to web site part but when it is up loadind it tells me the file is too big and i do not know how to compress the ile to make the kb smaller my pixel is small enough now but ho do you make a file small enough to go on the site two days now i have been trying and i am loseing the will so if anyone knows this i would be most great full for the help thankyou guys it really is getting the better of me now xx

You need to resize your pic to about 450 pixels by 450 pixels. Once it is that size, it's usually small enough to fit on here.

Microsoft's image resizer tool is very handy for this. (http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/d...powertoys.mspx)
Once it's installed, right click on your picture in Windows Explorer, choose resize and then custom in the box that opens, you can then set it to 450x450 and it saves as a new file. If you have loads of images to resize, highlight them all and right click and it'll resize them all at one go.

thankyou for your help i will have ago as i am still here now trying to do this i dont give up easily i will let you know how i get on after i have followed your advice x

rach i have done you beauty you thanks for all your help i was loseing the will but i have put a photo up and thats took me i say weeks but months really as i have been wed four months now and still wasnt able to do a photo myself your a star i might not be able to do it again though ha ha
