Invites are out, RSVPs already!! - Wedding Forum

Well we finally got our invitations sent out on Tuesday and we have had 4 RSVPs already!! I know for certain that loads of other people have booked flights and accommodation too so I'm pretty sure they will all be there just haven't got it in writing yet.

Its all starting to feel a bit more real now and I'm so relieved that peole actually want to come ( I went through a phase of fretting that hardly anyone would want to come as most people are having to travel a long way to Scotland)

I'm going through a bit of a stressful time at the moment as Neil is about to be made redundant and has no new job on the horizon yet so I can't get my head around spending money on things for the wedding when i know we are going to be struggling if he doesn't get a new job soon, my Gran who I was very close to and lived with for quite a few years died a couple of weeks ago and now both my pet rats are ill, Meg with a respiratory infection and Beanie has just spent the night at the vets after having a lump removed then unpicking her stitches and opening the wound. I've had a cold that just won't shift for the last 3 weeks so I'm all horrible and snotty to top everything off.

Knowing people want to come and celebrate with us has given me a bit of a lift and made me feel a bit excited about the wedding again after being a bit fed up for the last few weeks.

And to bring another smile to my face our picture was staring out at us from this months Wedding Ideas magazine in an article about romantic proposals!

All I need now is to find out our lottery syndicate has won the jackpot and I'll be fine!

Yay on the RSVPs

I know exactly what you mean about the travelling. We gave our definite invitees a heads-up and many have booked flights already even though we haven't done the actual invitations yet.

I hope the other stuff gets better soon

Sorry you've felt abit down, but I am pleased that having your RSVP's back has given you the lift you sound as though you really need.
