After trying to contact Trailfinders Gift List Consultant on Saturday and ending up holding a phone with nowt happening, we chose to go with HoneyMoney after all. Especially as I think our guests may prefer the idea of buying something specific rather than donating a cash sum.
We still have to pay the 9% service fee but managed to get the £50 set-up fee waived because of a promotion on Hitched. Okay so I don't actually expect our list to get used really but it was quite good fun to create.
If anybody wants to have a nose to see how it's done go to HoneyMoney and enter my surname (Bennett) to find our list. If you do have a look, please can you let me know what you think??

Oh I like it Lauz. I like the way you can pick different things and also love the range of prices. So many times wedding lists can be a bit scary looking for people that genuinely can't afford a lot. I've always tried to cover a wide range of prices in mine in the past and I like the way with this people feel they're really getting you something useful that you want.

I like that... SO much better than just giving money which I admit to disliking. Nice to know you would actually be giving a 'gift'

Some days it just isnt worth chewing through the leather straps in the morning!
wish i had thought of something like this, alas our invites for our blessing in november have already been sent out with a gift list inside it. although we wrote a poem asking for money, there is a small gift list for those who want to buy presents. but i wish we had done this instead as we havent actually booked our honeymoon yet cos i dont know what we can afford. i am looking into somewhere at the minute.
Guess who is gonna do EXACTLY the same thing? Eeermmm meeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!
Thank you for posting it xx
Happy to help

Its great Lauz. I really like the fact that things are broken down into realistic money sized chunks and that you can see exactly what your money is buying.

Thank you for your positive comments, they've made me feel much better about it.
I was worried that it might appear really cheeky or rude but don't feel so bad now.

Thanks for the tip.... my other half seems very keen on that idea as we have been trying to think of a tactful way to ask for money as we have all the usual things that are put on wedding lists.
