I just want the guests to pause for thought for a moment. I'm wondering if there's a humanist version. Or maybe I should just look for a food related poem instead.

oh ok just that 'grace' in that sense is a type of prayer so would have to be religious of some point

Yeah... I don't want to bless the food as such, just make the guests reflect on stuff. And it would be good to thank the guests for coming too as it's a long way for everyone.

I am sure we had one at school, erm

How about,

As we sit down to eat this banquet
Let us think of those without food or blanket
We remember those passed, who are not here to share
The laughter, the wine, and the srumptious fayre.

You could have something like asking all the guests to stand and say something like

Have this moment to reflect all our thanks to you our guests.
We are very glad you are here today and being a part of this our very special day.

i have made this one up for you not sure if its any good though, not sure how to replace the grace....

we bring food for thought,
and thought for the food,
our wedding to share,
our wonderful mood.
Today is a special feast,
a thanks giving in many a way,
i hope you all enjoy your food,
and think of others not here today.
Lets crack open a bottle,
lets eat our meal prepared,
for today is a celerbration,
a moment we all have shared.
Thankyou all for being here,
for creating a day we will treasure,
we just wanted to let you all know,
