Default Just been for unexpected dress fitting!

Hiya!

I was on here earlier and my mobile rang... it was my dress maker wanting me to go for a fitting today! So I've just got back, and WOW! Saw it altogether for the first time, veil, tiara, the lot... and its gorgeous!

Still got no photos to show you, but its kinda off the shoulder, princess line with an embroidered panel down the front and down the back of the skirt... bodice back, and a puddle train. She was pinning all my little chiffon roses round the neckline and it just completely finished it off! My veil is floor length and has litttle red roses embroidered round the bottom...

I was dead worried about looking huge, im a size 22 and only ever wear black... so the thought of parading around in a big cream dress was somewhat daunting! I know im not going to look lke Kate Moss however well the dress is cut, but i think it does me some kind favours! I didnt feel uncomfortable atall!

Ooooh, im so excited now! Didnt want to take it off! Only downfall is that my shoes hurt, so ill have to wear them around the house for a while... I'll be like that woman in tthe Shake and Vac advert, hoovering up in my high heels! lol

Love Dawn xxx

Dawn,

Your dress sounds lovely. I am sure you will look smashing.

My opinion on uncomfy shoes is that you are only going to do it once, so I reckon it shouldn't be too hard to put up with the pain.

No pain no gain!

Dawn

You dress sounds gorgeous. I know exactly what you mean about shoes. I have heels for the wedding and I normally live in my trainers.

Spent Tuesday evening doing my ironing wearing wedding shoes to try and get used to them. H2B thought it was hilarious!!

I know what you mean about the shoes. I have been walking around the house in them trying to get used to them. It is quite funny and they look very fetching with my jeans!!!!!.

I am just starting to feel comfy in them but I know they will kill me on the day. I will just have to take them off.

Oh by the way your dress sounds stunning.

Your dress sounds wonderful Dawn!

I am also concerned about uncomfortable shoes. What I plan to do is buy some "wedding" style high heel shoes for the day time, but something else for the evening. Probably some boots of some sort, that will be easier to dance in.

I told my dressmaker that I was going to take my blue Sketcher trainers and wear them at the reception. You should have seen her face, it was a picture! lol The only other pair of white shoes I have are some big fluffy polar bear slippers... dont think theyd look quite right really! lol

I will wear my nice, dainty wedding shoes for the wedding and then for the evening I will wear my trainers!!! My h2b thinks I am joking, but I have never been more serious in my life!!!!

It does sound totally lush though and I'm glad that you've had this dress fitting and had a chance to put it all together!!

I'm chuffed for you hun!!
