How many pairs of stockings? - Wedding Forum

My friend has just panicked me by saying that she's buying 2 extra pairs of stockings for her wedding day "just in case" - I'm only taking one - my theory was that my dress is too flippin' long anyway so no-one will notice a ladder!?!? Am I being "unprepared"?? OOH OOH OOH just looked at the time - one of my work colleagues will be standing at the altar as we speak!!! He was getting married at 2pm...........CONGRATS!! (I know he'll never see this but had to do it anyway!!!)

I think I'll wear 1 pair and just take 1 as a spare because I know that if I dont,l I'll need one! If I take the spare with me I doubt I'll use them - sods law!

S'pose so.................I can't wear suspenders OR a garter as you can see them through my dress -should I take a garter for photos or is that not the done thing anymore????

I don't know the etiquette on this one.

Are you wearing white stockings/tights or flesh coloured ones. I hadn't really thought about it to be quite honest.

Can I go without?

I'm not sure to be honest - I think i will wear one but i have heard a lot of people saw there was no way they were going to wear one and do the showing off legs bit so its a personal choice. Do you want to messs about putting it on just for the photos?

If you cant wear suspenders have you thought about hold-up's - they are quite comfy but take a bit of getting used too if you done usually wear them! I think I'll probably go for hold ups

I hadn't even thought about this!
I very rarely wear tights/stockings, so I might see if I can go without because I dont want to feel any more uncomfortable than I have to!

I'm wearing holdups and really plain underwear......the holdups are "nude" and I don't really like them that much but no-one will see them anyway.
I'm going to get stockings and suspenders for the night AFTER the wedding as we're staying in the hotel for 3 nights in total and that way we'll have more time to spend together - I think we'll be too knackered to really bother about what either of us is wearing on the wedding night, but I'll make a special effort the next night..........he loves that sort of thing! (sad man icon)

I have bought one pair of sheen ivory hold ups and if they ladder no one will see them as I have 3 layers on my dress and if I get too hot as our wedding is middle of july I shall just pull them off and go bare legged.

I bought a pair of ivory platformy sandals so I won't be needing tights, they can make you so sweaty - going to the loo will be bad enough without,

but if I was wearing tights I would buy a 3 pairs, only because there have been countless times I have put them on and they have laddered as I am pulling them up.

i hope to get away without wearing any too. I hate wearing them too. No one will see them anyway as my dress is that long and there is no way i am showing anyone else my legs lol

On the odd occasion that I've has to wear a skirt I always wear thick black tights with them. Iam definately not wearing stockings or hold ups, so it will have to be tights, which won't be too much of a bother because ,y undies are so damn ugly anyway that the tights couldn't possibly make them look any worse.

Was hoping for something natural, but with a little bit of a glimmer or sheen to them. Again, no one will see them, but I'd prefer them.

Ooops, forgot to say that I will probably take one spare pair, but as no one will see the damn things I probably wouldn't change them unless they tore somewhere where I could feel it and it annoyed me.
