Default Where are you going on your hen nights?

I've given the girls a list of people to invite, but now I'm getting scared!

I'd really like a realxing weekend with tons of food and alcohol in a city centre hotel somewher. Probably in the SOuthEast to try to maximise the numbers that make it!

I quite fancy Oxford, Brighton's the obvious choice but I don't want an obvious hen night so I'm not sure about that. Anyone know of any "hidden gems" that I ought to go for?

I suppose there's always London, but accommodation prices would be daft wouldn't they.....?

Help!

Neals having a stag weekend, but i can only have one night coz of the kids! Not to worry, im sure i can fit a weekends worth of booze into one night

Have decided to just go round my home town... start off at Chicago Rock cafe for some food and (lots of) beer, then see where the night take us! I didnt want to do anyhing OTT as my mum and Neals mum will be there... quite a mixture of ages.

I guess it depends what u can afford and who's going!

Love Dawn xxx

Exactly, that's why I'm thinkning of basing it in the SOuth East so there's less room for people to say they can't afford it and they don't have to do two nights if that's too much!!

If it was just me and my uni mates, they'd push the boat out and treat me to something fab, I know they would! (2 of them are doctors with plenty of money sloshing about...) but I'd like as many people there as possible so would rather keep it that bit more low key!

Fingers crossed I approve of their plans!

I'm having two hen nights!
As I'm from Northern Ireland, I am having a hen night with all me 'ol mates from home and then a smaller one here in England.

For the NI hen night we are going for a meal in a slap up restaurant in Belfast which has a disco on the ground floor, the restaurant being on the first floor

Then for the English hen night I'm going to Chicago Rock Cafe I think, not sure about it yet.

Talk about having your cake and eating it!

Brett and I are coming over to the UK in June for our stag/hen weekend because most of our friends are over there, and we couldn't expect people to travel over here twice.
We are both going to York, because it is fairly central (our friends range from Aberdeen to Newquay!!) and I went to uni there. We are having a joint get together on the Friday (we have called it a shag night instead of a stag/hen night ) and on the Saturday I am off to the York races with the girls. We are going to go all out with posh frocks and champers. Then we are all off for a nice meal in the evening. Brett has done some complicated calculations as to whether England will be playing a world cup match that day, and is watching that then doing a brewery tour.
Should be lots of fun. The only downside is that my bm can't make it

Im greedy and having 3!!!!

one will be a huge joint one in an adventure place or alton towers, one will be a meal for us and the older peeps of the bridal party who cant see themselves quad biking or riding the nemesis and one where we do our own thing him and best man drinking all day with curry to follow and me and best mate going for a pampering and meal.

Obviousley you can see why my wedding date is so far away - time to save for the hen/stag night!! We just wanted to treat ourselves as we never go out since cameron was born so we wanted to make sure everything was a time to remember!

Mines not sorted yet but there are a few ideas flying around. The latest is that we meet at CBM house on Friday night for PJ wearing drinking sesh and chat. Saturday go for a picnic followed by a private salsa lesson, which we will put into practice that night at a Salsa club. (bit scared about that)!
The other ideas involve stying in caravans or hotels so this option could be cheaper and people can join for just one aspect of it they fancy.

I have given a list of people to invite to my best friend who is my chief bridesmaid, and we are off to Chicagos in Watford, and then where ever we end up!!! I am having the traditional hen night, so god help me!! But I am having a joint hen & stag day with Martin, we are going to Chessington World Of Advetures with some of my friends. And then the weekend before the wedding we are off out for a meal with all my family, so the oldies can come along! My mum didn't fancy a night out clubbing!

Hi Roz!

I'm having 2!!

1st one is for my closest mates and we're off to the Sanctuary Spa in Covent Garden.

The other will be just a meal and drinks so that other friends and mums can come along!

I just can't make my mind up on this one.
I would need to have 5 hen nights if I wanted one with all my closest friends.
My 2 best friends live in Italy and Canada, so I'd have to go there to see them, my other close friend lives in Paris and then there's of course my friends here and my mum, sister and friends in The Netherlands, I just don't know what to do.

I was thinking of just going for some drinks with everyone who's going to be in The Netherlands 2 days before the wedding. Most places in The Netherlands don't actually allow hen- or stag nights in anyway and I really don't want to dress up silly or have a stripper, I'd much rather have a really nice time with all my friends who I haven't seen for ages.

All I know is that we're going to York for the weekend. I'm giving my CBM and BM a list of who to invite and they are organising it all!

We're having ours in brighton, just because it's easy to get to and there is a great atmosphere. It's up to you to make it fun/special, the location is only one aspect of it! In the south east I don't think you'll be able to beat it in terms of atmosphere and value for money!

I am going to a dinner and disco at a hotel. Bit boring really but quite cheap and everyone should enjoy it.

I have had to organise it myself as I did not really have anyone I could ask to do it.

Oh well.

See ya

I am thinking of going for a meal (hopefully Thai) and then possibly to School Disco in Hammersmith (anyone been there - what's it like?)

Otherwise a night in London doing a similar thing, possibly 10th August - 3 weeks before - not too soon is it??
