I bought a camcorder last week I soooo wanted one for ages. So last night me has the bright idea of starting a video of from now until and including the wedding. Titled Wedding Diary. Just things like why I choose things and how and how we feel about stuff etc, showing favours and candles.
I am not doing everyday just every now and again I am taking it when h2b goes to try his new outfit on and when I have my first fitting and when bridesmaid has her fitting etc. So in years to come we can look back and have a valuable record of everything out thought and feelings. like my dad's films of us as children possibly meant nothing then but now are treasures.
I've been keeping a written one on my wedding webpages through C******i but a video will certainly be something to look back on fondly.
Make sure you get all the stressed moments too when you feel like pulling all your hair out !!!!

I hope that my child, looking back on today
Will remember a mother who had time to play;
Because children grow up while you're not looking,
There are years ahead for cleaning and cooking.
So, quiet now cobwebs go to sleep.
I'm nursing my baby, and babies don't keep.
I may have a good loaigh at myself as I am not well at the moment and had coldsores allover my lips on the video last night so mmmm attractive ...... not
what a great idea!!! we have done something similiar to this with my son. We film him for a day every few mths to have tapes of how he has changed so much already when he is only 20mths now. I just love watching the vid we have from when he was born as he was so tiny and so much has happened since then. I think its a lovely idea and in time to come youll love watching all the memorable moments.
I was toying with the idea myself, but I sound funny on videos so I thought better of it. Nearer the time to the wedding I may start keeping a diary sort of thing, noting down all the details, piccies of my dress and bridesmaids etc.
Collette, I love the idea of videoing your son, is a nice thing to keep from his childhood!!
