Um....
Favourite places? Holiday locations? Golf courses (or whatever your hobby is if appropriate)? Favourite colours? Alton Towers rides (the scarier ones for the rowdier tables!)?
Hmm, naff I know but I'll keep thinking about it!

I like the idea of the god of love from all different religions (as someone on ******** had a while back) but Chris says it's a bit too naff, but then he thinks everything that isn't philip starck is naff design!

Thinking of having famous quotes like Virgil - "now I know what love really is" something like that......only have 3 tables (top table and 2 long tables coming off to make a U shape so I can see my guests faces) so I don't really have that many to think up! Or my stationer has suggested to name them Fountain of Love, Fountain of Hope and Fountain of Trust (but in French or Spanish or something more romantic!) as we're having fountains as table centres.......

Yes.......they are small battery operated ones, that are being done in our wedding colours - they are probably about the size of the water features you get from shops that do feng shui and everything - they are sound activated so the noise from people talking will keep them running - and you can't even hear them which is good as I was worried they'd send people rushing to the loo every 5 mins! I wanted something other than flowers or candles and this is ideal......

I love the idea of the fountain names, but the actual fountains....
the sheer mechanics of it are mindboggling....

Had thought about goldfish, but was worried they'd die and guests would have to watch floating dead fish whilst eating

Hi Shelley
It's not mind boggling at all - have a look at an Argos or Index catalogue and I'm sure you'll see what I mean - they can sit at the edge of your desk in the office, or on a bedside table - they are that small and they work by batteries. They're not as expensive as huge flower arrangements either - we're getting them for £15 each.........

I'm getting them from the company who are doing my stationery and favours - you can e-mail them at castlemooncreations@yahoo.co.uk (Please mention me if you e-mail them as they like to know where referrals come from) They don't have a website as yet but they came up with the idea of my favours (model cars and planes done up as going away transport) and the fountains and the stationery they created was superb - almost every guest has been on the phone to say they hadn't seen anything like it. They will give you a questionnaire to complete about you and your H2B and your interest etc and then they'll come up with something unique for you - WITHIN YOUR BUDGET - they are v. careful when it comes to budgetting which is great! They are called Alicia and David (and I am NOT receiving commission as I was once accused of this on another website which shall remain nameless!) and they are very nice and really efficient and not v. expensive at all! They've been a complete godsend!
