Default At last...I am happy with the invites!

Whooohooo! I was trying out a different program for doing my invites and I came across a lovely design which is far better than the rubbish I had come up with so far! It's a watercolour painting of a bride and groom which I have used as a background for the invites. I toned in the font colour with the picture and it looks brill! I am so chuffed that at long last I have found something which 'feels' right!

I hope that my child, looking back on today
Will remember a mother who had time to play;
Because children grow up while you're not looking,
There are years ahead for cleaning and cooking.
So, quiet now cobwebs go to sleep.
I'm nursing my baby, and babies don't keep.

Laurie....well yes you can but I will have to get H2B to take a digital piccie and I have only done the front cover. I can't decide how to attach the inside to the cover. I have loads of lilac ribbon but don't want to hole punch the card....not sure about the elastic stuff.......any ideas anyone?

I trimmed the edges of my A4 insert (for the border) then folded it in half to fit in the cover. To attach it I put prit stick on the bottom all along the side of the fold and stuck it to the card.

Ta Laurie will try that.
Nikki....I have many disasters!!! I don't need these invites until Jan/Feb time but I wanted to play around with several ideas and see what looked best....so far I have tried 3 card sizes, including a postcard, dried flowers......sparkly things.....different fonts, borders, the list goes on!! It's all a matter of what sort of thing you want and if you want the theme carried throughout.
