Anxiety Dreams - Wedding Forum

Please tell me I'm not the only one,

Last night I had a dream that my sister was about to do my hair on our wedding day and her curlers were stolen, and we had to go and buy some but there were NONE anywhere, I woke up all sweaty with a really bad stomach ache and thanked myself it was a dream.

And before, I've had dreams that we've turned up at the church and the vicar wouldn't marry us, my friend was looking after my dress and forgot it and I lost all my bridesmaids dresses.

It's weird cos I'm not consciously anxious (at the moment)

Has this happened to anyone else or am I a wierdo??

I've had a few of those now. They're really horrible at the time and I've found myself wide awake and feeling nervous (or something like that) for a while before going back to sleep again.

All sorts of different things, but all boiling down to the same thing - me not being organised enough and leaving things to the last minute.

I think its perfectly normal though.

I've had a few, but last nights took the biscuit! And it wasnt even wedding related. I dreamt I was stood in the bath fully dressed with my mates bf, i kissed him then turned round to find my mate was stood there. When she asked what i was doing, i told her that he was my boss and i was trying to keep my job. (Bear in mind we were all stood in the bath, fully clothed under the shower!) Then mine and her kids turned up... then I woke up...

WEIRD!!!

YES YES YES!!!! I can just about relax now! All booked, just have to give final numbers to the venue!

The nerves are coming back though. When Neal proposed I didnt sleep or eat for weeks! The there was a lull where i was ok, but ive got butterflies in my tummy now just thinking about it!

I'm going to have a hot chocolate (OPTIONS LOW CAL for anyone reading this in the Ab Flab Club!), see if that helps me to drop off tonight. Hopefull no more scary weird dreams! lol

You'll be fine hun, we all have em and youre completely normal!

I've only had one or two wedding related dreams that have been on the weird side, BUT I am having a total nightmare sleeping, haven't slept through the night in a very long time, keep waking up for no apparent reasons & I am having some very odd dreams! Had a nightmare the other weekend, thankfully Matt was here so when I woke up I just cuddled up to him (even though I couldn't wake him up for a proper cuddle)

Just want a decent nights sleep!

I keep dreaming that my sisters bridesmaid dress turns up the day of the wedding, and it is not the beautiful dark blue satin dress we ordered, but red, and made out of tshirt material. The top is a crop top with a tie dye design in the middle of it!! She is a red hed, and it looks terrible on her. Strangely enough, in my dream it is not a problem, and I think she looks fine

, but I still wake up in a cold sweat!!

I haven't had any other dreams about it yet - just that one a couple of times a week.

I am sure I have more of this to come though!

I've had a couple of those too! just when you think everythings going ok, you suddenly dream of something really weird.

I dreamt that i turned up at our wedding, with my dad, as you do, but it wasn't our church, colour scheme, or even guests, but darren was there, so at least that bit was right. Afterwards, we all went to our reception, which wasn't a three course sit down at the golf club, but curled up sarnies in the church hall, the whole thing was awful!!! very strange.

Weird!!!

I've been wakening up in a sweat for the last 3 or 4 nights now but can't remember what I have been dreaming about. I did have a dream a few months ago about how I went to the loo before the service and managed to piddle on my dress

The cloth the woman gave me to try to rub it off was covered in muck and my dress ended up filthy and all I could do was shout at my CBM! I've also had a couple of dreams that I'm in my wedding dress going to the wedding, but I'm on a bus and have a red duffell coat on! I had this dream before I even met my H2B but have had it about 4 times since!

I have had many of these dreams. The latest was that Iwas at my reception. I knew I had got married but when somebody asked me what it was like I couldn't remember. Then after a bit of partying on down someone els e asked me what the wedding was like. And again I could not remember. Then I thought we videoed it. So I got the camera and tried to find it to show my friend but all that was on the tape was holidays of my in laws (it's there camera). Then I woke up.

So the next time I saw my FIL2B I asked him to get a new tape for his camera!!!!!

Cheers guys, I definitely feel normal now.

Mella - am definitely going, perhaps we should meet up first along with anyone else who's around the Surrey/Middlesex area, I'm sure Emma lives around Egham.

Any thoughts???
