Question End of Season?

Hi All,

Can anyone tell me when the wedding season finishes?

I am trying to organise a date to go shopping for the bridesmaids dresses at the end of this year and it would be really handy to know when all the sales begin. My H2B reckons it's about November time, is this true?

I've got a really tight budget for the bridesmaid dresses and I'm having four adult bridesmaids, so very opinionated about what they will and will not wear!!!

So if i have two dates to look for dresses it will hopefully give us more choices at reasonable prices.

Thanks,
Beeny

Sorry Beeny, I can't help at all. I would have thought the January sales would have been the best time to try, but I could be completely wrong about that.

Hi

What's your budget like? Do you have a particular colour in mind?

I'm not sure when the sales are. I think there were some around November time because it was just after I bought my dress...

I can't spend more than £100 on each dress, perferably around £70 each because i still have to get the shoes, jewellery and hair things four each of them. The dresses also need to be lilac to match my H2B's waist coat and cravat!!!!!

I would check with particular stores you are interested in.

I went into my local shop to look at the bridesmaid dresses at the weekend and they had loads in the sale (which I thought seemed really strange) so there you go.

I know most places advertise. The actual wedding season is supposed to be May to September though - if that helps at all.

Debenhams have their blue cross sale now which covers the dresses by Debut. That's how I got my BM's last year for the bargain price of £64.

It's worth a try....

I hope that my child, looking back on today
Will remember a mother who had time to play;
Because children grow up while you're not looking,
There are years ahead for cleaning and cooking.
So, quiet now cobwebs go to sleep.
I'm nursing my baby, and babies don't keep.

You could do as I did, make them get their own accesories!! I have two bridesmaids and I bought their dresses, so I said they can buy their shoes, I get the say so on what they wear, they are not having any accesories provided by me, their hair and make up will be done on the day by the people doing mine, the younger BM will have a lilac headband and my CBM will have fresh flowers in her hair.
