Hi all
I'm a newbie on here and a mature student studying for a MSc at Sheffield and wondered how many other students there are on MGW? We're getting married after I've handed in my dissertation (a month early, so nose to grindstone!).
Stress is starting to get to me now as I have to work for a month as well as finishing all my work (otherwise we don't eat!) and should be studying right now. Problem is I've just found this website and am already queen of procrastination so am just having a little break before I get started ...

I'm no longer a student, graduated last Novemeber but my H2B still is, he starts his final year in Civil Engineering in October. We are planning to get married 2 months after he finishes, a month before he graduates!!!!!
Good luck with the dissertation and the wedding plans!!!!

Hi there,
I am also a mature student, getting married about a month after I finish med school! Have my finals in about 7 weeks time or something, so I totally sympathise! Is all a bit too much sometimes to cope with, but assume it will get better after exams (if I pass them, that is!)
When you getting married, me 13th July, bought rings yesterday!
I'm a student too!
Final year Computer Science and European Studies at Aston Uni.
I'm supposed to be on the net searching for dissertation stuff right now but had to check MGW first - will I ever get my dissertation done?!?!
My finals start in about a month!!!
My h2b is also a final year student at Aston. We get married just under a month after we graduate!
I graduated last summer witha msc in computing for business at staffordshire uni and my h2b is still studying part time for his first degree and to top it all we both work for the uni so i don't think we will ever escacpe.
good luck to all you students with your exams and weddings
h.

and baby makes 3 our family is complete i couldn't ask for more.
Not exactly a student, but I'm doing day release at Leeds Metropolitan University, doing selected modules of an HND Civil Engineering course. I have a student union card though which gives cheaper cinema trips. I work in marketing for a civil engineering contractor so this will help in my technical knowledge. I have a couple of assignments to do, but liek everyone, Groovy often interferes!
I am still a student, with exams this week!! I have my finals in September, but I've decided to be completely dumb and get married two months before!! I don't graduate from med school until next year, so H2B will have to spend a year married to a studenty-type! Not easy for a squaddie!!

We did it!!!! I finally became a Smuggie on 28th July 2002!
I'm training to be a dental nurse so although I work 5 days a week, I'm also studying to sit my National Exams... which are 3 weeks & 4 days away..... ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
I'll still have to stay there until September 13th though, need to complete 24 months working at chairside until I'm officially qualified... I get married 1 week & 1 day after I officially finish!

phew that's a relief - I was beginning to think I was the only student b2b out there - now I know that I'm not alone! It's fairly stressful at the mo, but it's all going to be worth it in 4 months and 1 day!
Hi to you all and good luck with exams/assignments/dissertations - may the force be with you ...

I'm a mature student too. 2nd year PhD (yes, I'm a glutton for punishment - I got a job after my first degree - came back for MSc - got a job - quit and came back for PhD .... tee-hee I think I'm one of those "perpetual students" - I just can't stop myself!).
Currently studies are going by the wayside a bit becuase planning a wedding is much more exciting. But when I get back from honeymoon that's it. Nose to the grindstone for the next 17 months!
Bet you can't wait till you graduate!!
