Default Wedding ring

I'm sooo pleased...

About six months ago, I saw the perfect wedding ring in a shop in Kingston. I thought it was too soon to buy and then it disappeared from the display (I walked past it drooling for many weeks)... I wanted to kick myself.

Anyhow, we popped into town yesterday and there it was again!! I tried it on and it was my size and everything and almost lies flat against my engagement ring (which is no easy feat!!).

We're going to get it next saturday I think!! yay!!

It is a plain platinum band with a subtle (not heavy) engraved bit.

Is anyone else going for an engraved ring or are you going for a plain one?

Mel

Ours are yellow /white gold bands... the outside is yellow gold and theres a "spinner" bit in the middle thats white gold. No engraving, Neals has to be plain as he works with food, so for health and safety reasons i guess. He probably wont even wear it for work.

I quite liked the ones with little diamonds set into the band, but they were WAY over our budget! lol

That sounds lovely! I have seen one I like...its a two tone gold celtic ring, solid, not the open weave design. I have only seen one like it so guess I may look at getting it soon even although the wedding isnt until next year!

Niddy - that is gorgeous!

We are both having white gold celtic bands, in a closed design. (sounds a bit like Dawns, but in white). To be honest, it feels a bit too much with my e-ring as well. I may wear my e-ring on the other hand instead once we are married. But who knows...I might get used to it!

We chose our rings this weekend. Mine matches my e-ring, so is a fairly heavy court band. My e-ring is a heavy band with a single diamond as wide as the band. H2B has gone for natural white gold, which is white gold without the shiny plating. It is a warm pinky yellowy silver colour and he loves it which is great as he wasn't too convinced by rings for men.

I tried one on like cupid's, but it didn't sit right with my e-ring. My e-ring is oval so I need something to tuck under it slight or to bend around it.

The w-rings with diamonds in are often quite raised..

But i love my ring too. Even though its not mine yet.
