How I am getting on so far - Wedding Forum

Well, this weekend me and my CBM went and got some fabric samples for my dress. I found some really lovely silk dupion (whatever that means) so I think I will get my skirt in that - my aunt is making all 4 dresses. I also managed to get a colour sample for the BM's dresses, although we couldn't see the right type of material - at least now I have something to colour match with.

Also got a bit of good news last week - since I started working last year I have been on a Basic Rate tax code (blissfully unaware) and my manager noticed this last month, so we have sorted it all out meaning I should get a tax rebate this month or next in my wages - so thats a wee bit of extra cash to go towards the wedding plans.

I still feel incredibly un-organised.

Its good that you've manage to find the motivation, because I know you were lacking it a bit. It still feels like our day is so far ahead yet. I feel like Ive got all the time in the world!

Yes! Thats it, I feel like September is so far away that I have still got ages to sort it all out, but at the same point the past month has flown by and I feel like I have hardly done anything! In reality though I have started a fair wee bit but nothing tangible yet if that makes sense - we have planned the dresses and looked at material but theres no actual dress or toile to try on...

I definitely have the motivation now though, I think getting Christmas and New Years out the way and then starting to organise was definitely the way forward.

Glad you're getting things sorted out. I found that once I started planning things and choosing colours I couldnt stop! lol... I never thought I would be the kind of person to get so excited about picking flowers, dresses and colours...lol.. And time does fly!! Our wedding is in 20 weeks and I still need to do so much it seems!! Enjoy the planning!

I'm glad that things seem to be going well with regards to finding materials/ colours etc. Yah! Its exciting
