hi im a new user and this is my first thread.

i think i've found our first dance song but what do you think. its "your my best friend" by Queen. its not sloppily romantic but its not rocky.

If the song makes you and your fiance smile, then it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks! We had our first dance to a song by Marillion...

It wasn't Grendel was it? It's fifteen minutes long!

Big Marillion fan - curious to know which one it was.

My advice on the Queen song is - try and dance to it first. It might be a tricky one. I think the timing kind of goes up and down (occasional pauses and stuff). It's not just about which song you like, but which song you'll feel fantastic dancing to.

Give it a trial run.

Our first dance was 'Someone like you' by Van Morrison (think end of Brdiget Jones). One of our favourites and easy to dance to.

Ah - that kind of works. Lyric 'No one can take you away from me now'.

Anyone know if there's a web site with first dance suggestions, and maybe some sample sound clips. Might look into adding one to ours if not.
