Default Silk flowers

I know I posted on this topic before. I am debating whether to have silk calla lilly displays for the reception tables and then real callas for my bouquet, bridesmaid, and buttin holes. However, I am not sure whether mixing the 2 will be obvious, and make the silk ones look particularly artificial.

Has anyone alse mixed fresh with silk flowers before, and was it effective?

Thanks
Caline

We had the opositte at our wedding... the hotel provided the table decorations, and we had white & green, so if my memory serves me right we had daisy's, carnations and "greenery"...... my flowers were "fake" Calla Lillies and "fake" thistles!

Didn't look out of place, after all your bouquet and wedding flowers don't have to be the same as the ones for the reception.

We had silk flowers for our table decorations and I had real flowers for the bouquets and button holes. It didn't look out of place at all. Here's a couple of piccies of ours.

The first one is my bouquet and the second is some of the flowers we had on the tables at the reception. My MIL did these.

I posted the exact same thing a few weeks ago as id like to be able to keep some of the flowers and give some to the mums, CBM, good friends etc and this is the best way I can think of doing it.

Your real flowers will hardly be in contact with the table centres so it would be very hard for anyone to comment on them, especially as some of the silks now look so fantastic!
