Default I'm so happy

My Uncle from Poland has just e-mailed me his flight details for when he comes over for my wedding and he's bringing my auntie and my cousins son who I have never seen and he's 11 years old and my other cousin who I haven't seen since 1994 and he was very ill then coz he had a brain tumour And I thought he might not be well enough to fly but he is and he's coming so he must be well. I'm so excited.

Also one of my closest friends is coming with her daughter my mum is paying for her to come, she's like a sister to me.

The only down point about the wedding is my auntie and uncle can't make it from birmingham, which my dad isn't too happy about.

Aww it's lovely for you that they can make it and it'll make it really special seeing family you haven't met before and also your cousin that was ill.

I know I really can't wait. My uncle keeps saying how excited he is to be coming to my wedding he's bringing his camcorder, even though he can't film in the church. I'm his only neice.

yep I'm really excited, my dad even went to get measured for his suit and he was moaning the whole time saying he's gonna look like a penguin. And when he had the suit on he loved it and he looked really good. I'll be so proud walking next to my dad down the aisle. I've never seen him look so smart, since my first communion.

The ushers are coming down for the weekend soon to get measured, the only problem we have is with Simon's brother the best man he refuses to hire a suit he said he has a suit the should still fit him just hire the cravate and waistcoat and he'll wear his suit to save us money, which is nice of him trying to save us money but it will look silly that the groom, the father of the bride and the ushers are wearing tails and pinstripe trousers and him wearing a normal suit. He said he'll stand at the back for the photos, and we don't want that. For starters we want a Photo of Simon, his brother and his 2 ushers together, because Simons mum and nan wanted a photo of the four of them together looking smart for a change.

Is this just me being fussy?

No way are you being fussy. He's best man, you're having the works and so want him to be and look part of that. It could be that he's shy? But as best man he can't really fade into the background. I think I'd explain to him how you really want him to match the others, that it's important to you and that while you appreciate him trying to save you money you want your day to be right for how you want it. If he is shy then all he's going to do in a normal suit being part of the bridal party is draw more attention to himself. Also a lot of photos are taken with the best man where he can't hide at the back!

I know but he is so stubborn, it's annoying even his mum agrees with us but she doesn't want to get involved. I just told Si that he's goto say something to him. Coz I've had enough of trying to explain it to him. I even said Si wore what you want him to wear to your wedding and he even had to buy the suit whats wrong with wearing what Si wants you to wear to his wedding and Si is only renting the suits

I know, I'm not that bothered about my family not coming from birmingham I am slightly upset but then I thought I'd rather them not come then come and not really want to be there coz I want everyone to enjoy it and I don't want to worry about everyone else enjoying themselves I just want to concentrate on me and Simon, and it being our day (sounds a bit selfish I know)

Thanks, I was surprised my mum has done that, its really nice of her. Coz my friends brother lives here aswell so she's told me not to mention anything to her brother coz she wants to surprise him. I can't wait to see his face when he finds out coz they are both really close they speak to eachother whenever they can.
