OK about me....

I am 22. I live in Nottingham with my fiance. I have been with Matt for just over 6 years. We got engaged in January.

For my job I am in IT Support for a large accountcy firm in Nottingham.

I am really looking forward to my wedding. I think the wedding bug definitly hit me last year when my sister got married so that pushed me to ask him to get engaged. It has been quite difficult sorting out the wedding as we are getting married in the same church as my sister, the same reception hall, having the same photographer and the same cake maker. So trying to do things different are hard. But as my mum keeps saying half the people who are going to be there haven\'t been through it already ;)

well im 20 originally from s.wales but now live in geordie land (newcastle!!)with H2B who is also from wales, we moved away due to our jobs, i am a customer svs agent for a ww courier company called TNT and simon is a engineer designing military tanks and stuff.

we have been together for 4 years and got engaged after going out with each other for a month and a half!! mad i hear you all say! well were both meant for each other and i love him to bits (oh know sloppy person alert!!!! :P )

i use the confetti and hitched sites aswell as this one as this is fab!(well done bev!! :D )

H2b and I are both getting married in s.wales at the local church,we are having 3 bmaids my big sis and my neice and a friend of the familys little girl.

well id best finnish off here as ill be boring you all to death!!! :)

seem to be getting the hang of this now! :) I\'m from liverpool I\'m 30 (boo hoo) and my future hubby is 33 We have been together for 13 years, and have 3 adorable (sometimes! :P) children together. Now why get hitched after 13 years I hear you say, Well with having tried to get married 3 times and each time getting pregnant,(I don\'t do pregnant bride) so after the last kid I had him sorted and decided to get on with planning my dream wedding!!!
My h2b is a phyciatric nurse and I own a few tanning salons/beauticians around Liverpool so looking after 3 kids and juggling my shops I just about make time for wedding plans and h2b.
Sorry about waffling but you did ask!

Hello Girls

Well, I am 25 and living in Bromley, Kent with my fiance Jamie, also 25. We have been together for 6 and a half years. We are getting married next June in the Isle of Wight, in the same place as Bev! I found this site while surfing on Confetti, but Bev and I were already in contact before that when we realised we were getting married in the same venue about two weeks apart!!

I work for the University of London, organising graduation ceremonies and exams among other things and Jamie works for an outside broadcast television company who film the formula one grand prix! So, he gets to travel the world while I sit at home in not-so-sunny England!! Boo hoo

We are having a semi-traditional wedding with some funky touches, as neither of us are particularly bothered about traditions, but alot of them make sense when it comes to the practicalities of things. The thing I am most looking forward to is the Bouncy Castle!!!!!! I am having 3 bm\'s, (two sisters and one sister in law) and female-only ushers and I am REALLY excited!!!

Okay, I am going now, having rambled on long enough!

Okey Dokey,
I\'m 23, will be 24 just next summer when we get married in Torquay. I\'m scared by how grown up it all is but hey, go with the flow! Chris and I have been together for 6 years but have known each other for 14. I\'m a Town Planner and Chris runs a bar (which job would you rather have?) and we live together in Manchester.

Our wedding will be taken by Chris\' Godfather, a ley priest, at the hotel in a psuedo humanist vein as we don\'t like either the idea of promising in front of a god we don\'t believe in or the harshness of the civil ceremony. The hotel is stunning, I really didn\'t think we\'d do the deed in a five star hotel, seems a little over extravagent reallt!
I\'m having 1 real bridesmaid, a friend from University, but my neice (now 18 months ish) is just too cute for words so I\'m going to ask my sister to hold her hand while we all walk into the room wearing pretty dresses.
Not much else is sorted yet, maybe I should be a bit more pro-active about things!

I\'m a confetti girl, I like the fact that i recognise the names and occasionally we can have a bit of banter, the size of the hitched website scares me, and I spend too long on the net really anyhow!

So that\'s me. Who\'s next? :)

Thanks! Much nicer when everyone gets to know each other a little - which is possibly the bit that annoys me about Confetti - cant keep tack of everyone and their posts. :(

I\'ve been lurking in confetti for a couple of months now, but I go to www.ultimatewedding.com every night it\'s quite big and they have loads of piccys of stuff and of course this one has now been added to my list!! :D

Me to well without the wedge, FH is 1\" shorter than me but I\'m definatley wearing trainers I live in them! The way I see it is that no one is going to see them and I find shoes so uncomfortable and if any one does see them they\'ll just say \" thats so Lynsey!!\" Nearly every friends wedding that I have been to they have had their shoes off for a big part of the evening because they are killing them, my MOH says it\'s not fair that she should be able to wear them to but I\'m going to suprise her with a pair of really cool slippers for the evening do!!!

I\'ve actually made my own and I recommend it to everyone it\'s sooooo easy. I\'m so impressed with my handy work I could never find any that came close to what I wanted the nearest one cost £200!!!!!!! :( and we\'re on a tight budget so I had a play and came up with a master piece!!!

Hi, I am 25 live in Cornwall, Born NW London, moved to Herts, then moved here 3 years ago, I am marrying Daniel and I will become a Hoare!!!
We are marrying in the local church then to The Falcon Hotel in Bude for the reception. We have 4 bridesmaids 2 girls from the farm next door Daniels niece and the moh is my friend Mic from Hemel Hempstead.
Just one thing missing the date!! 1st June 2002.

still looking unfortunatly!!!!! what a complete and utter nightmare it is becoming, the way its going ill be going in the nud!!!!
(only joking!! that would definatly put a smile on simons face on the wedding night!! what a thought!!!!!) im gonna have a look in Swansea when i go home xmas, might be able to get something a bit cheeper in the sales???? but let me know if you come accross any more websites!!

Hi everyone,

I am 32 and my H2B Jonathan is 31 (TOYBOY!!). We met June 2000, and got engaged on his birthday of 08/07/2001. I have lived in England for the last 10 years, moving here after I graduated from university in Belfast. Jonathan and I were introduced by one of my best friends(who has since emigrated). He is a marketing co-ordinator for a large construction company; I work in a respite care unit for children with learning difficulties and challenging behaviour, some of whom are also physically handicapped.

We are getting married in West Yorkshire (much to my Dads annoyance), and planning to honeymoon in New Zealand (and staying with the friend who introduced us - cheap holiday!!)

Hi everyone,

I\'m 24, as is Chris, he is only 5 days older than me which makes big birthday parties very easy. We\'ve been together for 4 years, having met at University, He is a Brummie, whereas I am a \'soft southerner\', but in spite of that we seem to get on OK!

We are getting married in Surrey, near Cobham, in May next year and I haven\'t even begun to do any of the rather essential things, like buy a dress. I\'m going for the first time on Friday, and I can\'t wait!

My names Claire (or Clay) and I\'m 24, as is h2b Justin (he\'s exactly 3 weeks younger - a toyboy!:lol:). I originally come from Bristol, but we moved to Kent when I was five. I met Justin about 2 years ago at our local pub when he was singing there, but I was half way through a 4 year relationship at the time. He went back to University and we met up again a year and a half later and this time round I dumped the other fella and got engaged to Justin 2 months later. Three months after that I moved to Stoke On Trent with him when he went back to finish his degree and we\'ve been up here two, three months. We\'re getting married in Kent on August 20th 2002. :yes: in an elizabethan marriage, but everything else we\'re doing ourselves. Grr - except I\'m a wedding photographer/designer and CAN\'T TAKE THE MOST IMPORTANT PHOTOS I\'VE EVER HAD!!!

Well, I\'m Kitty. I am 31, H2B is 29 ( young man!). Been together for 3 years 4 months..when we marry it will have been 4 years and 2 days. I have an 11 year old son from a previous relationship and he is still a cute loving boy but can sometimes be pedantic :mad: he has \'last word syndrome\'. He and H2B get on really well and have a great relationship!

I am currently studying to be a Holistic Therapist, after years of working in retail and further education..I\'d had enough!!H2B got a job earning loads of cash and told me to apply for the course and do something I have always wanted to do...he is so considerate!!

I have a house full of pets including the most spoilt dog on the planet, the mardiest cat on earth, the hungriest cat in the universe and the smelliest hamster in the Western hemisphere!!

I\'m 28 julian is 29 (but will be 30 when we marry). We have been together on and off and on and off (and then some!!) for the last 6 1/2 years, but 2 beautiful children and several long haul moves later we have grown up and settled down and decided to get married. Much to the joy of our familys who never thought we would sort ourselves out!!
We live in Lancashire and are moving out of our tiny 2 bedroom flat, in to a 3 bedroomed house with gardens:D in a couple of weeks!
Yeah I know a move, christmas then a wedding!! :o

Hello, over here....!!:D

I\'m Kerri, 23, H2B is Andy, 25. We met in a night club, had a one night stand., 3 years later.....Oh No!!! What happened to the One Night bit!!

He moved in with me after 2 weeks, then moved out after 4 months (He joined the RAF) We had a weekend relationship for 2 years ish. Then in Feb this year we moved in properly!!!;)

Now we are buying a house in Lincs, getting married on 6th April in Plymouth.

AND I LOVE HIM SOOOOOO MUCH!!!!!

Hi I\'m Kate - Couldn\'t sleep (work stress!!)so thought it was about time I joined this forum. I will NOT be co-ordinating my napkins to my dres!!!
Getting married on June 3rd 02 near Stratford-upon-Avon, although I live near Nottingham. Doing the whole lot in a fantastic old manor/hotel.
!\'m 28 (but still feel 18!!) & thats about it!

Hi I\'m Karen, I\'m 26 and the h2b is 22 proper toyboy!!
We\'re getting married at Layer Marney Tower near Colchester on July 5th 2003!! So as you can imagine not much has been sorted yet!
I\'ve been reading some of the bits on here and it seems more my sort of place than confetti, although I do have a large budget, £10K from my parents, I\'m a big bride (26) so hopefully I\'ll feel more at home here!

Oooh!!

I snook in without introducing myself too. Though you probably know about me by now anyhow.

I\'m mel (officially Carmella - but forget I ever wrote that!!), I\'m 27, live with Ben, my H2b and our cat, Charlie and kitten, Molly.

Ben and I have been together for almost two years. He is my lobster...

We bought a house together in Kingston Upon Thames, Surrey in April and Ben proposed about 2 weeks before completion. You can imagine the chaos!!

I work for a Japanese investment company - but I\'m still not quite sure what my job is. Dogsbody is quite apt methinks..

I went to Cov uni (wahey!!!), am originally from newark/notts direction, and was born in the Bahamas!

Is that enough? it sounds very \"I\'m a quiz-show-contestant-like\" to me...

Hi I\'m Emma, 29 yrs old, marrying Dan, 31 on 13th April 2002 at Clandon Park, Guildford. We\'re having a civil ceremony followed by reception at the same place.

We\'ve been together for about 6 1/2 yrs - met whilst working together - however I changed jobs as it was a bit much worknig and living together.

Not sure whate else to say.... feel like I\'ve just introduced myself on AA.
