Default Dress doubts

I dunno why but in the last week or so I've started having doubts about my dress. I love it to bits, but I'm worrying about the colour.

Will I really regret having a non white dress? I've always thought that I didn't want one and that white does nothing for me but this thought is now stuck in my head......

I personally think you are very lucky if you can carry of a pure white dress! I like it on others but not me so I had no qualms at all about going for an ivory dress.

Im sure everyone goes through the "do I still love it" phase but just remember you chose it for a reason and that its beautiful!

I personally love the Turquoise dress you are basing your dress on and if i had the money i would have gone for it. I am having a silver and purple dress, i have my moments ( mainly caused by the fact i am making it myself) when i have doubts. When that happened recently i dragged my mum down to a bridal shop to try on some traditional dresses. Each time i have renewed confidence in my choice.

I know thats not much help but i am sure that everyone, even people wearing the traditional white dress have their doubts.

I went for a white dress just because I liked the colour on me, I have no idea of whether I could actually carry it off or not - I just liked it. If I had preferred ivory or any other colour on me then I would have gone for that. Everyone has little niggles about their dress after they have chosen it, I did with mine. On the day I loved it and knew I had made the right decision for me, it wouldn't have been everyones choice but it was right for me and that was the important thing. So long as you love your dress like you say, that's all that matters. Trust me, the phase will pass and you'll be worrying about something else like have you really chosen the right wedding ring!

Ask yourself if you'll regret *not* having it more than you think you might regret having it?

I think it's a gorgeous colour

I had regrets about my dress. Its an ivory one, but I doubted it after I bought it. I tried it on again in the shop and I loved it again!
I still love my dress, but I know what you mean about not being sure. I just wish it that they hadnt pulled the tape measure in when they measured me because it doesnt fit me! Thankfully, thats being sorted.

Of course it doesn't help that there are so many totally stunning dresses around to pick from, not surprising that brides start to wonder if they have made the right choice!

Thanks everyone - I'm sure my dress will turn out lovely - at the moment it's in pieces on the lounge floor, so it doesn't look so hot.

I was talking to Chris last night about it and he said that he can only imagine me in the turquoise when I come down the aisle - so it makes me feel a bit better.

I think I have to get as much of it done as I can, so I can finally see it on.

I feel much better now i can actually try mine on. Even tho the skirt was without a waistband and i had pins sticking in my and the top was just a black corset not the purple one that i am actually having (when i order it) i could see that it was going to look exactly how i pictured it. I took a couple of photos and every time i have a worry about the dress i look at the photo to reassure myself.

I hope that my child, looking back on today
Will remember a mother who had time to play;
Because children grow up while you're not looking,
There are years ahead for cleaning and cooking.
So, quiet now cobwebs go to sleep.
I'm nursing my baby, and babies don't keep.
