Default I got Married

Hi everyone.

Well I had the best day of my life on the 24th of June. It was amazing the weather was fab and everything went without a hitch it was so good I cant express that enough. I am soooo jealous of everyone who stil has there big day to go.

Unfortunately my husband ( now that sounds weird ) is away back to Afganistan so I am on a major come down and a little depressed at the moment.

I dont want bore everyone with details of the dy but I will if you want and I will download pictures if I can work out how to.

Sarah

If you really wnt to hear and as I love remembering about the day.

Me and my 2 bridesmaid and flowersgirls had our hair and make appointments at 9am. As my hair is short it did'nt take to lone to do mine however whrn it was finished I wasn't a 100% sure about it but I did'nt have time to dwell because I was taken straight through for my make up. Which was really lovely and the little bit of pampering helped me de stress a bit. I still was'nt sure about the hair. When my chief bridesmaid saw it she did everything to reassure me but it was my mums opinion that I needed before I relaxed a wee bit. When we had finished at the hairdressers we went back to my parents house and had a breakfast of scrambled egg on toast and bucks fizz. ( how classy eh )

At about 1pm the girls went to get ready and I spent the next 15 minutes on the toilet I was so nervous then I was given a present from my fiance a beautiful gold chain with a aqua blue stone and a card saying now you have something blue. I was totally overwhelmed. Once I finally got off the toliet mum had to force me to move and bribed me with some imodium instants because the photographer had arrived and I was'nt even in my dress.

I got dressed and made my way downstairs and I was beginning to feel really sick. We had some pictures taken and then mum and the bridesmaids left at about 2.05pm leaving just me, dad and the photograher. ( unbeknown to me my dad was so nervous he necked a whole bottle of champagne ) At this point it was so weird and instant calm came over me and I felt totally relaxed. We had a few more pictures outside and the sun started to shine it was so surreal. We then left at about 2.20pm the driver took the long way as I wanted to be a little late.

Anyway will continue a little later dont want to bore you all.

Just been for a long walk and cleared my head a wee bit dont know about the rest of you married girls but I feel on a total downer.

Where was I. We go to the hotel and all I can say is what a nightmare it is getting in and out of a car in your wedding dress if it was'nt for the help of my wonderful dad and fantastic photographer I think I would have fell over and made a fool of myself.

The minister came to greet me at the door and gave me a few words of encouragment and then the harpist started to play the theme from Romeo and Juliet and I began my walk down the aisle. Its funny because you think you will look at everyone but I just could'nt I jsut stayed focused on Christopher. Now when I saw him looking gorg and all grown up in his suit and very very nervous I just melted but totally calmed down. He was so nervous and quite emotional so I thought I have to get him through this so I stayed very focused giving him nods and winks of reassurance. It sounds sad but it was lovely at the time. ( the suits and kilts is because Christopher is English and I am Scottish ) The minister was superb and kept us all calm through our vows and made it serious but light hearted. The best bit was when he said I pronounce you husband and wife and we got to kiss. At that point we totally relaxed and signed the register and the oh my god the photographs started. I have bever been photographed so much in all my life but I totally loved it.

We walked back out and into the hotel garden for what seemed like 500 pictures. The photographer was just amazing. I really cant wait to seee the professional photos.

I will carry on a little later. Its making me sad writing about this because its all been and gone.

Congratulations

The come down is certainly normal, and even more understandable because your husband has gone away. I hope he returns home safe and sound.
