Default Dreadful Shop!

I just thought i would share with you the absolute trauma I have endured with my wedding dress shop!

The shop owner was absolutely fine and dandy with me whilst we were ordering the dress 5 months ago but then she changed into a nightmare! I took my bridesmaids into her shop and she basically told us she didn't have time for us as we were only looking and not buying! I found the bridesmaids dresses from another shop (only wish i had looked there first for my wedding dress as the women there are so lovely!) and they confirmed that this woman was known for being mean to brides!

Well, i received the phone call last week to say my dress had arrived - first of all she said she wouldn't let me see it on a saturday as this was her selling day, i perservered and said i could only make my lunch time otherwise. So off we trot, myself, my best friend and my mum to her shop saturday afternoon. We expected the dress to be too big as i have lost 1.5 stones since i got measured but at the end of the day wedding dresses are made to be altered. Well, to cut a long stort short when she realised i wasn't getting married for 4 months she lost all interest and started creating a drama! She told my mum she should sell my dress on ebay as the alterations would cost too much (my mum was nearly crying over this remark!) the total cost of the alterations she was quoting was £270 - now i don't personally think that is bad and definately not worth causing the scene that she did. She basically said she wasn't prepared to do the alterations as it was a big job and she would be doing me a favour by offering to do them! (my dress has the side seams almost at the back beause of a bustle and this is what would create the extra work!) I told my mum to pay for the dress and we would find somebody else who actually wanted the business. My mum has since contacted the shop where i have ordered my bridesmaid dresses and they were really chilled about it and made my mum feel 100 times better by saying that they would be prepared to do the dress.

I don't understand why some shops treat their clients so badly - this is the worst customer service i have ever received and i am buying my wedding dress, i thought this was meant to be one of the highlights!!!!

Grrrr............ and breathe!

Bloody hell why do some people go into the business of weddings if they really want to do it? I'd be fuming about that

Name and shame.

When I was looking for my wedding dress, I went into an awful shop first where they were so rude to me. I didn't stay and found a wonderful shop where they were so lovely to me.
