Yes, I was dressed as Dr Who in the Peter Davison era, and K was dressed as Leela. We made Charlie wear a K9 outfit and walk behind us.
(only joking!!!! Beeny was using an anecdote in her article, should be in the October issue. A Dr Who theme would have been ace though!)

For anyone that wants to know but can't get hold of a copy my story is about how my ex was such a groomzilla and decided that it was really important to him that his nieces who he'd only met twice were bridesmaids. Fair enough but they lived in Bournemouth, their mum and dad were going through quite a nasty divorce and their dad was with his girlfriend and lived in Newcastle with her. The ex decided that because his brother was coming from Newcastle with his g/friend and couldn't get down to Bournemouth the answer was to invite his brothers ex to the wedding so she could bring them. He decided she couldn't travel all that way on her own and so invited her parents who I'd never met even though I didn't agree. Because of all the extra costs involved with three extra adult guests, cost of couriering the b/maid dresses down there for fittings etc it cost us well over £600 for the girls to be b/maids - nearer £700 truth be known. But I was constantly told to keep my dress cheap and ended up settling for a cheap dress that didn't really do anything for me and certainly didn't have the wow factor or make me feel special. My whole outfit, dress, veil, tiara, shoes, jewellrey, underwear, everything came to just under £450 because I'd constantly been told to keep it cheap. The atmosphere on the day that was caused by his brothers wife being there was awful with her trying to muscle in on family photos. Also because I got on so well with his brothers g/friend his ex was huffy and rude with me at my wedding but he was totally oblivious to it because he got what he wanted which was his nieces as b/maids.
That was my second husband (the twatty ex) not first as the article says

I'm so sorry Ang - I wanted to add so much more of your story into the piece because so many thing happened but I unfortunately had to edit it down the best I could to get it in.
I didn't realise it was your second hubby who was the groomzilla - I hope I haven't got you in any trouble for getting it wrong. I didn't mean to honey. xx
