Default My Fab Bridesmaid

Hi Guys!!

How's it all going?

Well another day, another feature....and as usual I need your help.

My editor has asked me to write a piece about bridesmaids and I was wondering whether anyone would like to help me out by telling me all about your bridesmaid.

Do you have a fantastic bridesmaid that deserves a gold medal for all their hard work or have you found your friendship strained between you and your bridesmaid during the planning of your big day?

Beeny x

I sacked a bridesmaid last time. I don't think it's really worthy of a story though. She went off and ordered her dress before I'd decided on the ones I wanted without telling me. I only found out when the dress woman told me after I rang to arrange to go back for another look to help make my mind up. As it was they were the dresses I decided on but I couldn't believe she'd gone and ordered hers without even mentioning it to me and before I'd decided what I wanted - I was even undecided about colour at that point. She'd done a few other little things too and that was the final straw so I sacked her!

Same as Ang, I sacked my bridesmaid.... BUT.. an old friend stepped into the breach when it came to all the helpful stuff bridesmaids do!

So best of both worlds... Any use?

My best friend Donna has done so much to help me and brian allready and we dont get married for another 6 weeks.
She knows i suffer with panic attacks, and to help me chill out a bit, has *made our table plan for us,
* our thank you scrolls, helped me decroate them..(shes an art teacher so she good at fiddly faffy stuff!)
* designed our invites, sat for hours and hours and helped me make them
* is writing our place cards out ( shes got dead posh writing!)
* has organised my hen nite
* has phoned around places to check on things for me, got ratty with people when shes needed to kick their arse into shape
* has made the table card thingys, same as numbers but were having flower names and piccys instead, shes sat and printed em all off, mounted them onto card and worded them lovley
* is going to be all the strength i need to keep my mind from frazzling on the day, and i just know me and brian wouldnt be so well organinsed, or have all the little nice touches if it wasnt for her.

shes a total diamond who does so much stuff for anyone and im so totally lucky to have her fro my best freind.
I cant wait till she gets married im going to do loads for her!.xxx

I too sacked my bridesmaid - she was actually my chief bridesmaid - but she was awful from the very beginning so had to go...plus she called my now hubbie a ginger t*sser!!!

Sairy mary - you're bridesmaid sound like a complete star and I would love to feature your story but unfortunately my brief says:

"Including a real life story from a bride saying what she did for her bridesmaids."

Mine lied about being pregnant, claimed that my now hubby took me aside and told me not to listen to what her & my mum said when I was looking for dresses, and basically said she didn't trust him!!
Oh yeah, and it turned out that I could have lost friends because of her

Thankfully my friend who stepped into the breach, was amazing and I couldn't have got through my day without her, we shared a room the night before and I wouldn't have changed it for the world.......

Did anyone do anything really spesh and original for their bridesmaids to say thanks for all their help or to make sure they enjoy all the wedding preparations, such as plan girlie days out?
