Hi again!
We are bloody shagged, but we've got another 6 hours until we leave. AARRGGHHH!!!!! Oh well...
Mel - the airport is fabby, it really is. Singapore is very much a gateway to the east and west (depending on which direction you came from to start with) and the airport is designed to take that into consideration; 24 food courts, free overnight internet (and this is good stuff, not like those dodgy Easy Everything computers that never bloody work!!), TV channels, and a fabulous roof top garden that is filled with cactus (hence the name The Cactus Garden

). I went up there for a bit earlier and was knocked out by the heat and humidity even at 10pm. Takes me back to Summer in Brissy.... *sniff*
Diane I know what you mean about the dread of the flights. But I think after all this waiting around I'll be quite pleased to get on the plane so that I can fall asleep without fear of my booze being nicked (ooh, and I bought a bottle of Flowers by Kenzo, my official wedding perfume!

). And yes, the game show is a scream!
Well, I picked up the dress the other day, and it looks pretty good all things considered. I've had to have two seams added at the sides which does add to the 'too fat to fit in the dress' look, but there really was no other choice, and she has done her best to blend it in. At least it's at the side, with my treet trunk arms in the way I don't suppose many people will notice. The wrap is gorgeous and really makes me feel more comfy about wearing the dress, but all things considered it is by no means the dress of my dreams and as soon as the meal is over I'm off to get changed. It does look very impressive when I'm not wearing it though, so a definate heirloom there.
We spent all day Thursday running around Brisbane like blue arsed flies. We finally finished packing our junk up and decided in the end that the best option was to take it to Qantas Freight and send it as unaccompanied luggage. There were 13 boxes and Marks guitar in all, and it came to 220kg and a grand total of $1350!!! We were lucky though - it should have been $1750, but the woman took pity on us and changed us to a different rate. Phew!

So we paid about £550ish to bring it over. Then we had a debacle when we got home because we kept finding more things that should have been sent and had to find ways of making them fit into our already overstuffed suitcases. We could not even lift the buggers. We get to check in and lop them on the scales - they will not let you on with a case over 32kg. One was 35kg, the other 30kg. So there we are at the check in counter with both our suitcases open on the floor for all to see while we move stuff back and forth trying to get them the same bloody weight!! We were even sticking things on the womans scales to see how much they were before deciding which bag to put them in.

Oh God, what a sight. But we got there in the end.
So that's it really, sorry for the ramble but I'm bloody knackered and I'm not all there right now.

Thanks for thinking of us everyone!
