I said yes, sort of! I'm having a smaller replica made up for me to throw so I can keep my proper one.

I am going to throw mine......... we are leaving the reception to go straight to a hotel at Gatwick for a 7.30 flight the next morning - so I can't think of anything else useful to do with it. It would be withered by the time I got back otherwise!

That's why I'm having a little BQ made up. I can't wait to stand at the top of the stairs at the hotel and throw it down into the hordes of girlies in the foyer below.

I am not throwing mine but not due to sentiment.
I don't care for dried flowers and I am leaving a few days later. will probably ask the florist to put them in a vase to be taken to nursing home /hospital/or some such; same as the rest of the flowes.

I've voted no.
I'm getting married on what would have been my brother's 40th birthday, however, he died 10 years ago, so I'll be taking 3 roses from the bouquet, giving one to each mother and keeping one for myself and the rest of the bouquet I'm giving to my mum to place on my brother's grave - I did this with my BM bouquet when my sister got married and also when my mum got remarried - it's a bit of a morbid "tradition" but it really means a lot to me as he was my best friend and it will be even more special this time around - I wish I could do it myself, but I'll be staying at the hotel for an extra day and then off on honeymoon. Saying that, there is a couple of hours spare - I might just do it myself...........

Mine are a bit too big to throw.... so what we are thinking of doing is...
During the reception, the dj will ask all the married couples to come onto the dance floor, then couples married one year sit down... couples maried two years sit down etc etc, until there is only one couple left on the dancefloor; the ones who have been married the longest time. Then i will give my bouquet to them.
Sounds nice in theory, not sure if it will work though... have to give it some more thought yet... what do u think?

I was thinking of throwing but am not sure there are enough single girls!
My sister died when she was a day old and i put my BM flowers on her grave last time but dont want to this time.
I am going away on honeymoon 2 days later so I wont see them.
I dont like dried flower arrangements so dont want to keep them.
I think I will just throw them or copy your idea Dawn!
Hows it going Dawn?

I'm not throwing mine. I will take them to place on my mum's grave...if I can't do it on the actual wedding day (which I doubt) then I am going to do it the next day as we aren't going away immediately.

there will only be 20 people at my wedding and only 3 are unmarried, 2 of these are my bridesmaids and they will have bouquets of their own so there doesn;t seem to be much point.

I want to throw, but I also want to keep!!
Everyone will have button holes so I am thinking along the lines of having silk flowers and not throwing. I am going for a chat with my florist and seeing what she thinks about the silk flowers.

I don't want to throw them as I think it's a little cheesy, but I don't wan them preserved either. I like the idea of giving them to the longest married couple - but already know it'll be my grandparents (or the Aged peas as we refer to them (perhaps a little unkindly!!)) as they've been married 60/61 years (quite an achievment I reckon).
Also like the idea of taking the flowers to a residential home - might suggest it to dad as a friend of his runs a home...actually more than one of his friends does - must be something to do with devon being retirement central (either that or the Costa del Dole!!)
So, I won't throw, I won't dry. I might give to my grandparents and send the other flowers to a nursing home, just to summarise the above wiffley drivvle!

I'm planning on keeping mine! There's no way I'm going to throw them!
Just one problem, need to find a way to preserve my flowers, probably should start looking into it!!
