Default More make up...

I need your advice. I was intending to have a make up lady come and do my make up on the day (but haven't booked yet). I am however worried that I will come out looking like a doll, and also about the cost...think of how much make up I could buy for that £50. So now I am thinking about getting a Dept store make over and learning to do it myself....then i can recreate for the honeymoon etc. The question is...who is best to use? Someone on here mentioned about one company videoing you so that you can look over it at home, but after an afternoon searching I came up with nothing! Any ideas?

Am very temped by prescriptives as I really like the foundation...does anyone have any experience? I live in London, so most options should be open to me.

Thank you girls!!

i would say go to a department store and try to get a free makeover and tell then its for your wedding. max factor do free ones and if you take a sample of the dress or maids colours then they'll match you all in. there phone number is 0800-169-1302 and

http://www.maxfactor.com

its got to be a boots one though. but its free and you caould ask for tips and take a mate along to help remember what she did.

or just ask her to write it down, its part of her job. trust me my family think i live in make up stores.

you can take you, maids, mum and mum in law too all for free.

you get a beauty chart showing what was done and what was used.

i too like prescriptives but felt pressurised to buy a lot of things and didnt get colours that suited me.

sorry its a bit long hope this helped.

Hi, I went to Debenhams and had a consultation with the Estee Lauder lady, she was really nice and you get three free sessions. One for skincare, one for your makeup and one for whatever you like, another make up run through, some suggestions for tanning or whatever. I felt fab, when I left and have chosed my eye and lips colours now!!

Have fun!
