We have finally arranged a date for Ian to go and try on some suits!!! May 17th!!
He has also decided that he and the best man are going to wear cravets and that the rest of the bridal party, ie dads, and ushers are going to wear ties in the same colour. I will try and find some piccies of what he would like!
Ian finally admitted last night that he is really looking forward to the wedding now, and wished we had done it sooner!!
All our men are going on the 19th May - Even Andys 7 yr old nephew is excited about "looking like uncle Andrew" lol
I can't wait to see them all kitted out!

Maybe we're just odd, but we finally settled on David getting his own suit, so all the men in the wedding party are going to be different!! Do think this is weird? He's wearing a rich chocolate brown suit (same colour as the BM's!), and this is where I get cold feet (even though I suggested it!) a hot pink shirt & tie! Eeek - getting a bit scared now! I have never seen anyone wear this and am worried its going to look too far out...I'm hoping it will look trendy!
What do you think?

Thank you girls, it's just that I've never seen it done before (I wish I at least had a photo to calm my nerves!!) - all a figment of our imaginations so far. I'm glad David isn't scared of colour!
I just wish I knew what it was going to look like...or should he wear a pale pink or cream shirt....hmmm...I've seen other colours of suits with the same colour shirt & tie, but not this Raspberry Ruffle combo (believe it or not, that's where the inspiration came from - them & Cherry Ripes...)...
And the fact that everyone will look diiferent (obviously try to tie in SOMEWHERE....) does everyone have to match? Agghhh....my brain is going to burst!

Very nice suits nessa i am thinking of having similar jackets for the dads and the ushers as you have i am only 5 ft 4 ( ithink) and my poor dad is shorter than me Mikes family on the other hand is tthe other way , mike is 6ft and he is the shortest , i think tails and frock coats would swamp my dad so i was thinking of going for 'normal' jackets for everyone except the Bm and mike

After lots of help our little born on 28th Jan 2008
when I kiss you goodnight I will
hold you a little tighter, a little longer. It is then, that I will thank
God for you, and ask him for nothing,
I love all the suits, have always had a weakness for a man in a good suit!
Cariad, your man should be able to get advice from a good store somewhere on an appropriate pink to go with the choccy brown suit. I'm leaning towards the paler pink myself but I am not much of a pink wearer either, sorry! Maybe to see what it would look like he could take the suit into a store and try a few shirts with it - if he has a camera he could take some pics and scan them and then you could have a look at various shades of pink too.
Mine are pretty straightforward - Greg has decided to wear his dinner suit and as both fathers and his brother have them it will save on hiring. Not sure what my brother will wear - probably a choccy brown suit and pink shirt! Will ask his fashion advice for you!
Chris is getting his suit from Pronuptia (costing about £100) which the ushers have apparently thrown their hands up in horror at. So now, instead of them all looking nice and smart and like ushers they might all be in mixy matchy navy suits, if they have them (and knowing our mates this means double breasted and brass buttons alert!) or finding somewhere cheaper - and we're thinking maybe navy moss bros tails - anyone know anything about them?

Niddy, our bathroom in pale pink with deep raspberry (on under side of rolltop bath, and on copboard doors), and the colour scheme was devided by H2B, who loves it as long as no one describes it has pink. It is raspberry and rapberry icecream -LOL!
