Tell me about it!

I've already brought the wedding day one!

Ian is going to have a fit when I walk in through the door with it!!

But I just have to have them!

Why am I so addicted to wedding magazines??

They are 95% adverts and pictures and not much on actual weddings!! I think it is because when I pay for them, it is like giving the person behind the counter two fingers, 'I'm getting married, your not!!! na na na na!!!' sort of thing!!

Sad I know, but true!!

Thumbs down I've now been banned......

from buying any more magazines by H2B

blah blah blah

"With the money you've spent on those bloody magazines we could've paid the cars by now!"

Perhaps he has a point but they are an addiction (as well as full of adverts, so-called real weddings on ridiculous budgets in Tuscany etc etc)

Perhaps I should seek therapy

Ooooh. I like Cosmo Bride. It is a little bit trashy!!

What do you do with all your old magazines?

I have cut out all of the piccies and ideas I like and made a scrapbook. But I can't bring myself to throw the magazines away. I have got a huge stack of them in the living room looking untidy!

I have a whole cupboard of cut up wedding magazines! I have promised they will be binned before the wedding.

I have always been adicted to magazines - fashion as a teen and young 20s, then homes when we bought the house, I then moved onto gardens when I started to do the garden, then we got engaged, and I suspect baby magazines will find their way into my sweatly little mits before long.

It's no where near as bad as smoking as adictions go! and marginally cheaper!

Dont you find you get funny looks from people if you read a wedding mag in public?

I was on the train Friday on the way home with H2B reading one and we were getting some weird looks - s*d them, we were enjoying the read!

Oh nooooo...don't tell me about the mags, I'm trying to be so good! Don't you find it hard though, because they all seem to come out at the same time & you have to re-read them for the rest of the month? I don't give in and by US mags, because they are complete pants.

I've been making scrapbooks too, but I have such a large pile of mags, I just never seem to get through it. And I usually get comments like "but you've already bought your wedding dress, why do you want to buy more mags?".

BECAUSE I'M AN ADDICT!! Do you think we should set up Wedding Mag Anonymous?

All those budget planners on websites should come with a section for estimating how much of the money is going to disappear on magazines...

Definitely!

"Oh yes, I did my wedding on a budget! My dress cost me £50, the car was £20 and the reception £200!"

"And the magazines?"

"£3,230,432....."

You start buying house ones or baby ones. May I recommend Living Etc... I've started already!
