Where's my dress?! - Wedding Forum

Hi everybody! I'm new here and I'd appreciate some advice please. I'm getting married in just under 5 weeks time (14th June) and I think (hope!) most things are going to plan. Only thing I'm getting a bit stressed out about is my dress because it hasn't arrived in the shop as yet. I ordered it back in January and I thought it would be here by now. I've rung the shop a couple of times and I don't want to appear as if I'm hassling but should I start panicking or is this the norm with wedding dresses? Cheers, Cat x

I'd say keep pestering them about your dress!
I'm not getting married until September, I ordered my dress in February, it arrived 2 weeks ago and my first fitting is on May 30th!!

Where in Cardiff are you?? (Sorry, just being nosey as I'm a Cardiff girl too!)

We're a nosey bunch by the way so fill us in on all the info about your wedding, you & H2B!!

Hi Heather

Thanks for your reply. I'll give the shop a buzz tomorrow. Just need that reassurance really and get another thing ticked off. Here's a potted history about me and Ian, my HTB...we met nearly 9 years ago at an after-works party for Children in Need (we both work for the Beeb) and he proposed to me on top of a mountain in Yosemite National Park while we were on holiday in California last October! It was about 10 in the morning and we'd been sleeping in a tent so believe me I didn't look my best! It was SO romantic and I was speechless (for once!). Even after nearly 9 years he still managed to surprise me! We're getting married in St Catherine's Church on Kings Road, Canton at 1.00pm on Friday 14th June - we live about 2 mins walk from the church - with the reception at De Courcey's in Pentyrch. We're hopefully going to have an open house on the Saturday and then off to Positano for our honeymoon for a week. Can't wait!

havent a clue about dress times im afraid but

welcome to the site we are a really friendly bunch here and love to hear all about everyones weddings especially new peoples.....
