Default Church Worries

Hi all,

As most of you are aware, we are getting married in a church outside our parish. This is our family church however, and the vicar has very kindly agreed to marry us.

However, he needs to send us some forms to fill in, so we can go onto the Electoral Roll, but he keeps forgetting. I have phoned him up now numerous times to remind him, and he always says he has forgotten and he will do it straight away, but then he forgets again.

What shall I do, especially 'cause it's under 6 months now, and I'm getting a bit worried that we won't be able to get married there and turn up on the day with no wedding!!!

Do I keep phoning him to politely remind him, or shall I leave it for a bit??

All thoughts welcome.

Ness

How far from this church do you live? If it isn't too far couldn't you pop down there and pick up the forms yourself?

If it is too far to travel to just to pick up some forms than i would keep phoning and hoping that he will put them in the post to you. It's a bit too serious to leave it and hope for the best!!!!

Sorry, probably not much help!!!

Or drop him a relaxed / chatty note about wanting to be all organised along with a stamped addressed envelope?

Like the others have said, if its nearby, pop to a service one weekend and catch him there, but keep gently prodding him. If he's agreed to the wedding, putting you on the electoral role is just a matter of procedure so not a massively urgent thing so one not to get too wound up about.
