Kas,

Panchos Villas is a bit of a walk from the Travel Inn. Prob approx. 5-10mins in taxi. .

If you're going to do Mexican, I live near Edinburgh and can recommend Viva Mexico as a great Mexican in centre of town, in Cockburn Street. Cocunut Grove is quite near the Travel Inn, but I've never been so can't comment I'm afraid.

Try http://www.timeout.com/edinburgh/ for some "going out" ideas in Edinburgh.

I would recommend for pubs: try Rose Street or Grassmarket and for clubs Club Mercado (great on Fri nights), Beluga (quite trendy) or the Three Sisters, which is a huuuuge pub with club upstairs.

Have Fun!

Hi LB

Thanks for the info - unfortunately we have just got back!

The hen weekend was brilliant and Edinburgh is such an amazing place! Absolutely beautiful city and the people are really nice.

On Fri we drank far too much on the train (4 hours = 3 bottles champage, 7 bottles of wine / 8 girls!!) and went for an italian and then had to hit the pillows but on Sat we did all the tourist stuff and then Bar38(?) and off to Eros/Elite - the cheesiest club in the world but perfect for a hen night i.e lots of Nolans and Abba - boy did we feel old!!!.

We will definitely be doing a "revisted" sometime soon when we intend to get to the Three Sisters.

Thanks for all you info - it has been stored for future use!

Glad you had such a fab weekend!

Sounds like much was consumed & much was done!

I love Edinburgh (I've only been once but I fell in love with the place!) and I'm counting down the days until I get to go there again, which is 18 days!
