Default HATS,HATS,is it cheeky to ask all the ladies to wear them????????

i am getting married in a church and then onto bartle hall for both receptions day/night would it be cheeky to ask the ladies to wear hats for the occasion i thing it looks lovely what r u ideas please share amanda

Hmmm . . .I\'m not sure if you can state that people have to wear hates exactly, but I think that if you mark a dress code on your invitaions then they should get the gist of it. We\'re not having a very formal do, so I haven\'t really looked into this to be honest. Sorry. :(

At a friend\'s wedding last year, they suggested that as the bride loved hats and the groom loves waistcoats, people may wish to wear one. That left it up to people\'s discretion. Karen didn\'t wear a hat and I didn\'t wear a waistcoat :lol:

Just do it by word of mouth - get your BM on the case! My friends know if they don\'t wear hats there\'ll be trouble! But I don\'t think you can state it as part of the dress code as weddings are expensive enough to attend as it is!
