Exclamation I'm Soooooo Excited!!!

Following on from my veil thread yesterday, I got this email from my Gram

Wedding veil. Yes my veil was white ,sso you,re in luck if it isn,t rotten,ha.. My tiara should be there with my wedding gown. As you probably remember, you,re Mom wore my Wedding gown when she and John got Married, only she had it cut off to cocktail length, She however wore my tiara around her neck as a neck trim. I was white fabric with white pearls or beads. I do also have the tiara I bought and wore for our 25thAnniversary which is about 3" high in the center and is rhinestones and pearls. I also have my wedding shoes which are silver metalic sandlea with about 1.1/2 : high and have a strap over the ankle to close And 2 strands of the 3 strand pearl necklace Grandpa got (Johnnie) for our wedding.

Johnnie is my Grandad and "Grandpa" was her grandpa

I have asked for all but the dress to be sent to me because I know it wouldn't fit.

sorry just had to share!!

Exciting news, I think it's lovely you are going to wear this items. I'm glad I've kept my dress and accessories now, it's nice to show family in the future - even if they don't want to wear any of it it's still nice to remonisce (sp?)

Aww i love all the keepsakes and the bits and bobs that get kept after a wedding, ive still got all my jewelry on show, but after a while ill either box it up, or put in a cabinet and hopefully our kids will either have a piece for luck, or just have a look for prosperity.
even if things arent wearable, you might be able to take a little piece and carry it with you for luck.xxxxxxxx
