Default Help Me Help Me Help Me

Arrgh,

H2b woke me up at 4.30am and said - it's ten weeks until we get married.

Great, however although I have a venue and a registrar (we are having our ceremony and reception at the same venue) and I have my dress, I haven't got;
flowers,
band,
photographer,
planned the meal,
bridemaid dresses,
invitations

and what else......

I thought I had forever to plan this and now it has caught up with me. I know we can get it organised, especially since h2b was an event organiser (although not a wedding planner) in a previous life, but can you all help me list what needs to be done? Please?

With a good list of things to be sorted , a fair few phone numbers and a quiet few nights or a weekend, youll have a load of things sorted in no time babes.
i left quite a bit till the last few weeks and looking at the list in my hand it seemed like i had LOADS to do, but after a few hours of ringing around, and crossing off things on the list, it soon got done. you'll be fine honest,
now get cracking!!!

dont fret yourself. Rings and turning up are the important bits. Do what else you can if some things dont get sorted theyre not th eend of the world. You wont notice on the day

I agree, we forgot our guestbook which Id thought was soooo important and it POURED and POURED and POURED of rain and it didnt matter at all. We were there, our friends and family were there, we got married and that was that. Best day ever!

Some things I can think of (others may have mentioned I have memory like a sieve!)

* night in a hotel if youre having one
* stag/ hen nights if nec.
* a nice umbrella!!!

Oh and monsoon do fantastic dresses that are suitable for bridesmaids esp if you customise them with a sash round the waist etc and my top tip would be if possible ask for small bouquets of flowers how you want them, say theyre for gifts and odnt mention weddings, theyll be cheaper!! (Only really possible if youre not wanting a fancy schmanzy thing!) and you can buy wedding cakes in tesco these days which are actually pretty nice! Oh and get some disposable cameras, our best photos came from these.

Good luck!!
