Default ceilidh band

Hi All

Starting on my list! I have found a band on the internet called ceilidhdisco.com, who have quoted me a really fair price and have sent really nice personal emails, and have offered to let us pop into a event they are doing mid July. Obviously, from the name, it is going to be a (2 person) ceilidh and then they also supply the disco. I guess my questions are 1) has any body heard of them (they are based in central scotland) and 2) How do you choose a band? I know that they have been playing for years but it is not a full time job. They have been really friendly on email but how do I know whether to choose them?

Thanks

I haven't heard of them, but I probably wouldn't living in England...

Ask where they've done weddings in the last year and contact the venues?

You could ask if they have any references from people who have used them in the past, or if you can get contact details of couples who've had them at their reception.
