Morning All!

I was just wondering how the deed was done! (feeling nosey and loved up this morning!!!).

Mine was on the 9th August 2001 @ 7.00am in the morning! I was still in bed, as it was my birthday and he just got down on one knee and said the magic words!!!

Mine was in New York on Ellis Island - it was outside looking at the manhattan skyline (as it was prior to 11th Sept) and it was -5 - bloody freezing. It was quite surreal as we were in the busiest city in the world, but all by ourselves - not a sole in sight (unsuprisingly considering the temperature). It was a complete shocker too - wasn\'t expecting it at all.

Erm, well the first time would have probably been on Microsoft messenger on one of our first chats, around September 2000. I said yes. :) He then continued to ask me for several weeks, and I continued to say yes. We met for the first time (in person) in October 2000 and 5 days after landing he asked me again, the two of use were standing in the B+B we had rented for that two weeks. I said yes, and it was after that one that he told his family. Erm, I kept it secret from mine - thought they might think I was barmy. He then came over in February and it was after that that I told my mum and dad that we were getting married. They practically ignored me because they thought I was joking. :lol: Then I moved over here in May, and three days later we went ring shopping. We came home and sat on the sofa and he asked me again while putting the ring on my finger. And I started to cry and said yes. :)

I should think he will continue to ask me up until the day we are married. :)

On 5th Feb 2000, in Hyde Park after having been to see Madam Butterfly in the Royal Albert Hall, with a ring which he had chosen.:D

On Newlyn harbour in the rain with a bottle of bubbly. I have never been so happy, it was fantastic.

Jonathan asked me on his birthday :D After he\'d opened his presents he said he\'d one for me...

I was sitting on the sofa, and he got down on one knee with the ring :D:D:D

He said i am the best birthday present he has ever had - and he can\'t forget our engagement anniversary :P

ben asked me during a weekend by the seaside with a huge group of friends.

I was so suprised that I lost my balance when he went down on one knee. We were both sprawled out all over the place.

And then someone stole my shoes.

It might not sound romantic, but it was bliss.

well ours was 1 1/2 months after we first went out together,simon took me out for a meal(it was my 16th birthday) and he got down on 1 knee and asked me and of course i said YES. :D (oh and he chose my ring all by himself but i had to have it made smaller!!!!!!) :lol::lol:

First time would have been when I asked him in September(he said of course he would!).... in October we started getting ideas and planning and then on December 30th over lunch in a country type pub he officially asked my mum for her permission and then put the ring on my finger!!

He\'d seen the ring in about the October time, I saw it again in November (forgetting it was the one he\'d seen!) told him about it and he told me to order it!! When he saw it on the day we collected he smiled because it had been the exact one he\'d seen and liked!!!

No exciting proposal story from me I\'m afraid!!
Rich and I just kind of chatted about getting married and then decided on a date over the summer. We then booked the church before we told our parents (or anyone else) and had loads of fun saying, \"What are you doing June 22nd next year? fancy coming to our wedding?\"
