Marriage Certificate Question! - Wedding Forum

Does anyone know whether you get your marriage certificate on your wedding day if you're getting married in a hotel?

A friend at work is getting married in a hotel on a Sunday and needs the marriage certificate to take on honeymoon on the Monday.

Yes, you sign the certificate at the ceremony, and then are given it (queue photo for signing of register and certificate!)

Just make sure it gets given to someone sensible!!!

Yup - Dan just put it in his pocket at the end of the ceremony - we had to take ours with us on honeymoon to prove we were just married so taht we could get the honeymooners deal.
