Hi all, i need a bit of help,
due to only having 9 weeks till the wedding and looking like a white whale....i've decided i haven't got the time to hit the sunbed, so i'm consitering a St Tropez fake tan,
What i'm wondering is.. has anybody had one of there, is so how long did it last, could you shave your legs ok after its been applied and did it look ok, i've never been a fan of fake tans as i dont want to look tango'd...
All advice is VERY welcome.......
Caz

Um, despite being a blue-ish shade of white all over, I've never had one of these... I've heard that they're apparently the most natural looking colour - not at all orange - and they cost around £30... Not too sure how long they last, a few days I think. But you can get their products to use at home to top it up a bit! Maybe there's someone else out there who knows a bit more...
I have the Clarins one done, it's about £30 for an upper body.
Have it done 3 days before the wedding so that it has time to settle. I had mine done in the evening, and didn't shower til next morning, but the one I do myself on my legs is fine to shave next day!
My SIL had a St Tropez, and said it didn't last very long, about 5 days, whereas mine lasted long enough to go on honeymoon and fade out as the real one took over!
Hope this helps
Lo xx

Thanks everyone,
Done the search for Tropez as suggested and found the info, but still cant make up my mind... i'd hire a sunbed but as we are in the middle of renovating our place, i'd have to fit it in the garden and the neighbours might object
Ah well, i'll keep trying with the sun bed when i can and if i'm still " a whiter shade of pale" about 2 weeks before i'lll fake it
Thanks all
Caz

Most health spa places have quick tan beds, or even local leisure centres.
We have a salon in this area which specialises in the "stand up" type of quick tan, apparently it's like "walking into a tardis with just your knickers on" !!! (my mates words, not mine!) That cost about £6 for 6 mons and she had 4-6 sessions, which made her really brown, so maybe 1/2 to give you a healthy glow???

Heres my experience!! Had a practice St Tropez a few weeks at a reputable salon & v.glad it was only a practice as it went quite streaky - I wasn't impressed!
I am planning to do one myself (with H2B's help!) and using a Boots one - which is v.good & lasts about a week (I'll do it 3 days b4 wedding then I'll have time to fill in any white bits!)
I'm sure you can hire a stand-up sunbed & 9 weeks will be more than enough (I think you only need to hire for 4 weeks) so that might stop your space problem!!
If you decide to fake-it you really must have a practice first!
Good luck with your deciision!

I've since been told from a work friend that she has a mate who works in a salon, and they say that realistically only last 4 days.. no good for me as i wanted it to last until i went on my honeymoon.... over a week later, so i'm definatly going to get as many sessions on an upright supertan as i can....
